the video in the car is def old. the last picture feels more recent. she might have posted those videos (assuming sean is recording) reminiscing the time she spent with him? it also makes sense since the caption is obviously about him as well.

this. hating on her friends for silly reasons is certainly fun, but this isn't a joke. what the actual fuck jen. even those who act like covid is a run of the mill seasonal flu acknowledge (though usually in a dismissive way) that immunocompromized people, the elderly and fucking infants should stay the hell home -along with their caretakers. but i suppose when your clearly very sane celebrity friend invites you to a clearly very necessary 4th of july party along with 20 other people, you simply must go #priorities

I'm actually quite shocked that Jen is there; she has a one-month-old baby. I realise that the baby may not be there, but if Jen gets it, she can easily (and/or unknowingly) give it to the baby. I'm not sure I'd be going to Lana's, or any else's, parties rn if I were her.

Personally, what I find “witchy” about the song is the chorus and the haunting piano kinda reminds me of the Magic Castle (a hotel in Hollywood, Houdini lived there) because the two ghosts people see most often there are a bartender cleaning tables and a woman playing piano that is also often heard distantly. So that with the “ladies of the canyon” verses always left a haunting magical feeling to it. Like she spends her days doing frivolous magic with her girls but at night she goes off to the Magic Castle to hang out alone with these ghosts. It kinda seems all sad and solitary like no one understands her like the ghosts do. I know that’s not what everyone else sees in it but to me it’s like a secondary storyline. But I guess that would more be paranormal than witchy. Also I understand that it’s a completely imagined storyline I added to the song lol.
