    I absolutely agree with @barttttender

When were huge music gigs ever in time?
I've been to countless shows, of all sizes and genres, and 80% of them were late. It's almost always technical issues.
I saw Bjork last year who's a total professional with her work and she was still 20 minutes late, because her orchestra had issues.
We don't know what happened with Lana's show.

She won at the end because the Video Games acapella performance was rock n roll. It is proof that she is loved, respected and moves mountains. She's arguably the second/third biggest female singer in the world right now.

    She's a rockstar.

I kinda feel like there’s no point in discussing whether Glastonbury was technical difficulties vs. her own fault, it’s been a week and what’s done is done. If it was her fault (which I’m inclined to believe since shes 3/3 for being late), I hope learns and shows up on time for the upcoming shows this week!

Yeah it's probably her fault, but we don't really know.
She didn't commit a crime either.
    Maybe it's time to forgive.

dior you are a lovely individual but comparing lana to a doctor is not a good analogy

you do have a good point that what we consider to be paradise outtakes did have a different sound/theme, it did seem very 50s/60s inspired and seemed like a more straight-forward continuation of born to die, as opposed to the more cinematic, esoteric, religious feel of paradise we have, but i feel like maybe she could've just been recording a lot of stuff with a variety of different themes/sounds and ended up going with something more cinematic and esoteric, we've known about body electric since the summer of 2012, she even performed it more than once before the release of paradise, she also mentioned gods and monsters a few months before the release of paradise, and who knows how early on the demo of cola was recorded

also, TV in black and white, hollywood's dead, and what's a girl to do are all from 2011 and are more likely to just be born to die outtakes, i don't think she revisited them for paradise

“that stevie nicks singer” if you don’t sit down and learn some music history…

Undoubtedly Beautiful People Beautiful Problems. How lucky am I to be able to enjoy a song with Lana Del Rey and fckn STEVIE NICKS on it

I can’t get over how much better this version is compared to the released. I know she probably felt like she was in a very different headspace for Chemtrails and obviously the production didn’t really match the rest of the album, but damn, this is just so much more effective and powerful.

LMLYAW just sounds like your pretty standard love song but with a bit of a conservative anti-feminism sounding title which isn’t the best look.

Pink Champagne isn’t really a love song, it’s kind of a desperate plea for a guy to let Lana love him as a form of escapism for how miserable she is. I mean, the line about getting hard to stay sober really gets me considering she actually has been sober. Plus the context of her dreaming of being a famous artist all her live and her dream not living up to what she thought she wanted. And then there’s the production. It’s just all around such a more interesting song. LMLYAW is gorgeous, but forgettable. And the title wouldn’t even sound cringey with the context of how the song was originally written.

like????? Lana hasn’t come to where I live in 5 years…when she announced a show at Jones Beach in NY I didn’t have a mental breakdown on the internet and attack her because I couldn’t figure it out logistically because it was too far. It’s just so entitled that everyone is projecting their personal situations on Lana and saying very rude things about her because they can’t go. It’s just soooooooooooooo ugly and I’ll drag these ungrateful bitches all day.

Some of the comments are so gross. People are really losing it and acting like entitled little brats. Lana decided to surprise fans in Europe and everyone always complains no matter what she does. I’d literally be so grateful and if I couldnt make it…life goes on. She has to be the most criticized artist by her own fan base.

So then was she forced to release the entirety of Chemtrails and Blue Banisters, most of Ocean Blvd, NFR, and Honeymoon?

Yeah I’m not buying that Honeymouns list. He’s been wrong several times now + White Hot Forever was mentioned literally right when she released NFR…and she worked on NFR up until July 2019.

I personally don’t like that Freak demo…to me it sounds like there is too much going on
For once I somewhat agree with you, the only stint demo I like is his SYTH (GKIT is okay)

The only demo I truly prefer is Groupie Love. I also like the Summer Bummer one but still prefer the released bc of the additional Lana verse

I didn’t notice anything particularly out of the ordinary. If you’re talking about A&W, I feel like that might be part of the “character” she’s putting on? That’s the only part I’ve noticed anything remotely “weird” but she’s done the same thing for all 3 shows at this point so I think its on purpose

Idk it’s one thing to criticize the lateness, dancers, and even the concept of the show but judging her facial movements and hand movements I think is a little too much. We know she’s still not really confident when she performs and I think that’s just the nerves getting to her

A lot of demos are completely different sounding from the official, to the point where they could be two different songs. A lot of them also just have better lyrics. Also, the "raw" feeling of an unpolished demo makes the listening experience feel intimate in a way, and it lets you appreciate the process of creating a finished song.

I feel like you are using the false equivalence fallacy to make this argument, especially with the shoes. The shoe prank definitely has some arguments of bias since there’s name brand and we live in a largely capitalist world. However, applying this to unreleased v released music it loses its meaning because there’s no name brand per se, especially with deeper Lana fans. This implies that lipsters see the unreleased music as better and more exclusive which I don’t think is a bias in the traditional sense, it’s more conditioning and human nature. And I don’t even think it’s true overall. Also I don’t get the Soviet nostalgia mention because sooo much of USSR discussion is rooted in anti communist propaganda which is obviously biased? Ofc many Russians are going to be nostalgic for the USSR when compared the more extreme social injustice that Russians face today. It’s also not like every Soviet wanted the fall of the USSR so. But anyways

I feel like if anything you could make the argument that individuals prefer unreleased music because of the exclusiveness of it- the average fan doesn’t have access to it unless they know. But I would argue that this is another side effect of capitalism.

also I was a psych major. Not that it means anything at all lol a degree is a piece of paper
