ok translucent white is so pretty and suits the album perfectly, glad i ordered! think i will prob get the target vinyl once physicals hit stores bc i do love that damn cover, but not crazy about the red vinyl (so much red lana vinyl already!).

I personally still find her lyrics to be relatable despite them becoming more personal. I don't think relatable has to mean "omg it's me she's singing about!" but instead being able to relate to the emotion behind it. 
 
I also don't want/need to be able to insert myself into all art. One of the best things about good storytelling is exploring that world and discovering the little details and connections to uncover a deeper meaning, that you can then apply to your own life and learn from if you choose to. As Lana's writing becomes increasingly personal, she's inviting us to dive even deeper into her life and discover things about her, that also reflect her observations of the world at large, and for me at least it makes her consistently thrilling to listen to.

Living Legend for me. I remember getting a message that it had leaked out of nowhere and listening to it while I waited for my therapy appointment . I was completely awestruck and shook by it and I was definitely fighting back a couple tears when she started screaming at the end. It was absolutely beautiful, heavenly, sentimental, emotional, sweet, and truly a god-tier song, and with no snippets or fuckery beforehand- just a full song leaked out of nowhere. I listened to it in loop for what felt like hours afterward

i love VFR but beautiful is the corniest song she's ever written (i suspected this might be the case based on the title lol), the picasso lyrics are goofy, how did the woman who made BBS also write this absolute drivel

literally one of her worst songs, its so repetitive, the melody where shes like “all road that lead to you as integral to me as arteries” she just uses over and over and over again, “I can't sleep at home tonight, send me a Hilton Hotel”, “They built me up three hundred feet tall just to tear me down” , “I'm leavin' them as I was, five foot eight” 
 

why do people always care so much about what that bald man says,, he’s literally some guy with a youtube channel. there are so many men that hate lana’s music lol what makes him so special why is his opinion and music taste so important to people

I feel like i'm in the minority who loves the production choice in WFWF. It elevates the song completely and fits the title and thematic elements of the track 

I hear eccentricity’s holding me back — which also makes me believe ‘eccentricity’ might be the word Lana was talking about never having used in a song before that describes the whole record.

I'm pretty sure it's "Eccentricities holding me back" instead of "He's interested, he's holding me back"! 

Yes! I loved how she said "Chemistry never dies". A cynical reading of that would be "Oh, she just doesn't want to let go of this guy...", but I found it comforting. Even if a relationship doesn't work out, there's a reason the two of you were brought together. Even if you're no longer in love, there was still something there, a chemistry, that connected you. And that never dies. I found it a really comforting reminder - every relationship has value, no matter its fate.
 
She also had me super interested in the manifestation stuff, with all the books. I know people typically turn to New Age stuff when they're ***struggling*** and really need to get through a breakup/loss, etc., so I felt for her there... 
 
This may come off as dramatic, but there's a massive sense of loss in Blue Banisters (title track) that radiates through the entire song - a heartbreak so deep that leaves you feeling close to numb. The video portrayed it very well. I think it's one of Lana's saddest songs, even if she's trying to spin it into something optimistic. She's still mourning the life she wants but can't seem to attain, which is why I think she's continuously talking about being on "the writer's/artist's path" and whatnot.
