i find this to be cringe on the fans part not lanas. she's built a close relationship with this person so she has every right to want to keep in touch with him, but the whole point of her leaving social media is for privacy and to keep an inner circle so posting that she sent you a private message is completely disregarding her wishes but people will do what they must for clout.

She does this at her live shows too and I have to wonder why she's so hellbent on acting like this with the same fans. When I was at one of her shows in 2018, she announced through the mic that she "recognized some people in the crowd" (which to me indicates people who literally have the money to travel city to city and follow her) and went down to only interact with them and not anyone else. I've never seen any other artist do this. 

She really went from being an Instagram baddie to not giving a fuck about the app

oh I just remembered that Father John Misty also deleted all of his social media two years ago (and we know she is pals with him and his wife Emma) just some thoughts on trying to make it seem okay ... hah

im kinda just thinking about how the album release is gonna be when it finally does come. it's sorta like the celebrant didn't really attend, that kinda thing.   

but i guess, at the heart of things. it's great to know that we're living at the same time of thee Lana Del Rey n get to enjoy her artistry real time. the music's always gonna be there, be here so there's that.

I personally don't believe in genuine artist-fan relationships. There's this power dynamic, I'm here adoring Lana's art, knowing a lot about her art and her persona. I know nothing about Elizabeth Grant and she sees me as a stranger who adores her. Do you see my point? Same with love relationships. 

I'm assuming Lana currently sees a therapist, and a lot of therapists will definitely suggest their patients to step back from social media for their mental wellbeing so I guess Lana took the advice

For me is okay she pick some fans but she should show some love to her fcs also... sometimes i only know that she is alive because of the fcs

Probably a wildly unpopular opinion, and nothing against him personally but picking out a few people and giving them special treatment is just really cringe to me. There were countless fans in the comments who seemed devastated; I bet the vast majority didn't get shit but that ^ guy does cos he has the money and means to go to her shows, probably lives in LA etc

Lana reached out to a few stans before deactivating and like could you just imagine?? Minutes b4 disappearing Lana thinks of you specifically and reaches out for your info to keep in touch??? What a dream  hope those stans know just how lucky they are

Apparently she sent this DM to one of the mega stans before she deactivated. Not sure what the message reads. Maybe some stans are out here with her phone number or sumn?

Feeling like a ~lost little girl~ without mama Lana on IG  But again, I know this decision is one she's making out of her best interest, and I hope she's able to find the peace and privacy she's looking for. In the meantime, I'll miss her endlessly, and will always be sending her so much love ♥️

I think everyone feels a bit emotional about it because she prefaced it with that video message, which I think she very strategically put out to get some closure on her level of visibility and to communicate that this decision means something more for her.

listened to the greatest on my drive home from work. i have to admit that i did get choked up a bit. 

literally listening to velvet crowbar as i'm typing this rn. and i'm definitely upset she's deactivating, especially right before a release. but i'm so happy she's taking time for herself. honestly surprised she didn't do earlier, i know i would have if i was in her position. all the body shaming and everything, i can't imagine. i think she'll come back eventually though. maybe next month or next year, i don't know. stay hopeful babes <3 sending my love to all of you who feel lonely and isolated rn
