Pushkin and Lermontov are SHAKING

Well... I like 'Blue Banisters' and 'Wildflower Wildfire' a lot, the song structure is interesting and the lyrics are very good imho.
 
But the song that has me shook is most definitely 'Text Book'—it's giving me all I ever wanted to hear on a Lana song for a while now. It's sooo good. I'm shook, I can't stop listening, it almost cured my adult acne. 

"god i wish i could see my father" is such a hard hitting line ugh so fucking good

but who cares about that tho? i don’t get why some people bring that twitter negativity over here. it’s enough for the right people to get the message and see the bigger picture in lana’s lyricism, not everybody is going to understand it 

I deleted twitter for the reason that ppl take it as their full time job to misinterpret and misconstrue basically every singer’s lyrics as a way to feel important. These ppl aren’t happy in their real life so I show them some compassion but either way twitter isn’t the real world - just other fanbases spewing negativity as usual. They’d pick apart literally anything she says for some engagement. 

TS stans on Twitter getting real brave for willfully misinterpreting lyrics. Do they need random capitalizations in the liner notes to understand what’s going on? 

"do you think if I go blonde we could get our old love back?" hits SO hard.. Lana I've been right there with u

people want to villainize her so bad, someone said the lyric has nothing to do with the rest of the song and she's just making it about her daddy issues but the entire chorus is about rewriting history and she says at the end she wishes her father was there to do it with her cause he's passionate about it too.

Twitter needs to be deleted for the sake of humanity

I always catch myself getting mad over people opinion on lanas music
 
when I see Twitter stand saying something negative like my first reaction is whyyyyy
 
then I step back and realize, who gives an actual fuck

Oh my gosh so much to take in on first listen as it’s a real stream or consciousness kind of thing with so many lyrics but was immediately shook at her stealing one of my favourite Father John Misty lyrics! “She blackens pages like a Russian romantic”

tbh i don't think the BLM line is problematic, buuuut she's gonna get dragged nonetheless and that makes me sad

Text Book is such a peculiar title for a song... I'm curious to know what the song is about 

I need it, but we all know it will be the car selfie or a photo of her and her friends at Chuck's baby shower
