I don’t think it’s not that she doesn’t like it, but I think she was scared of how we would receive it. Plus that album got caught short because of the pandemic; she must have felt that it wasn’t finished (although it’s one of most coherent pieces ever). RCS is probably the continuity, the second part, where she wanted to go after Chemtrails that should have been included if she had had the time to figure out where she wanted to go. 

I can definitely see her avoiding questions about the album (she did the same thing with Anne when she was asked about the album and started talking about her chimney instead ). She’s been over this album since last year. Interview magazine is probably going to be the most information we get about her headspace towards the album
 
and it’s not like he could press questions about RCS since it wasn’t announced when the interview took place 

I think that one of the most interesting pieces of information from the interview is this , her baddie moment indeed

well, i guess that cotcc was her last work with mr. Jack not that i don't like him, but what is the reason to keep making music with him when he can't go as wild as she wants him to go? she will just waste her potential that's why Daddy Dawes needed to come up and they did the whole Rock Candy Sweet together and it will fucking slap.

One actually interesting/fun thing she says is that during the recording process, she often asked Jack to be "wilder" and go harder on the songs.
 
Well, that did not really work out, did it? Maybe that's why she was not completely satisfied with the final version of the songs. And it could indicate that she'll actually go with a more intense sound on RCS

We NEED her to go harder than UV. I love COCC so! I love piano and yes I love soft country ballads and Joni Mitchell covers that sounds cute and dreamy. But UV is still her best (imo) and I would fucking give her my soul if she goes harder. 

the paradise yayo is just as good as aka yayo. the paradise ver gives me major blue velvet (the movie) vibes and the aka yayo makes me think of her sweet trailer days

I love Jack’s production so much, but I think it makes sense that she would work with another producer this time for a few reasons:
 
1) Jack is still in New Jersey and is unable to come to LA because of the pandemic - this halted the process of Chemtrails a bit towards the end, and naturally, Lana being nervous about that record, would not want to have those limitations of proximity be a concern again.
 
2) She said to Annie Mac that she was hoping to see if the covers album with Zach Dawes would “spark anything” - obviously, Zach seems to have been her go-to producer since the pandemic happened, as they made Dealer, 2 cover albums, Summertime the Gershwin Version, a live version of Let Me Love You Like a Woman for Fallon, and possibly a whole original studio album together. 
 
3) Lana always works with the same producer(s) for no more than two albums:
 
Rick Nowels, Dan Heath:
- Born to Die/Paradise (with additional production from Emile Haynie, Justin Parker)
- the original Ultraviolence (before the rework with Dan Auerbach)
 
Rick Nowels:
- Honeymoon
- Lust for Life
 
 
Jack Antonoff:
- Norman Fucking Rockwell!
- Chemtrails Over the Country Club
 
4) Obviously Lana has been going to a studio in LA and has an album finished/close to being finished  - a “revenge” album points to a fuller-sound with guitars, and Lana mentioned to Music Week that she loves bluesy, outlaw music inspired by her country music friends and other country idols of hers. Zach, having produced her country covers album, would be the most obvious choice as a producer since the covers album likely bled into the process for this country-esque album that Lana has implied LDR8 will be. 
 
 

I feel like you guys mix up the message from Heroin/ Change/Get Free, which seems to be about self-growth and evolving and the message of DBJAG which is about people changing because they are famous for a long time.
The "we don't change" part in Yosemite on the other hand seems to be about how surreal their love is, withstanding "seasons" and always staying "green".

I think that there's a huge difference between changing toxic traits and changing who you are. Most of people mix those two and go after an unrealistic version of themselves and end up being hurt, depressed or bored.
 
Lana probably mixed those two and just now realized that she doesn't have to fully change herself to be happy

I KNEW jack was holding Lana back I KNEW IT. The way she had to do the bare minimum for TWO albums cus he was scared of taking risks, and to think we could've been getting heavy drums and electric guitar masterpieces this whole time but instead we got tinny piano songs with no punch and no bass for a solid 3 years straight 3 YEARS STR8..

White Dress is definitely up there with Venice Bitch, West Coast, and Honeymoon as my top-tier Lana tracks/favourite tracks of all time. Wow 

I love Chemtrails. That said, there's no way she can go any softer or minimalistic than she does on that album. It's very soft, gentle, wispy. For Rock Candy Sweet, I want her to try some faster songs, with a rock/electric guitar-heavy approach. I just feel like she still has a harder-edged, alternative rock album in her that's waiting to be unleashed. Idk. But I'm pretty much down for anything - as long as it isn't a pop album or a piano ballad album.

i’d be open to there being and intro or outro or interlude though, so if RBFY is an intro/outro i’ll gladly take it

Well, Yosemite was also a LFL scrap because it was deemed "too happy" and we finally got it 4 years later, and if anything Roses Bloom for You sounds like an even happier song, so never say never
