you guys gotta remember that lana has experimented with country many times and even her classic songs have a twang to them. i personally would enjoy something like a carrie underwood moment from her : ) she can pull off any genre she wants, i'm just glad we're getting music after all these years

Also, even if the production has nothing to do with country, lana has songs like video games and ride that have a country soul, she said it herself and that’s very true, enough with the country hate  I’m not a country fan myself but when lana does it, magic happens. I’m sure she could write gorgeous songs 

y’all are so bitter… just wanna say I would personally enjoy a full country project from lana bc she’s so good at it, and it probably means she wants to give us some side tunes now because she plans on releasing ldr9 later in 2023, if so she’s an angel

either way, i wouldnt mind. i really warmed up to COCC n love IYLDWM. her country twang really works. but i agree that i’d want her to serve something else for ldr9 before coming out with another acoustic record

Hearing the tempo change in West Coast chorus was groundbreaking and one of the most impactful moments in my life, as it made me a fan.

Can't believe it's been 8 years already. Such an iconic and good album 

It's insane that songs like Fine China, SYTH and Your Girl didn't make the cut but at the same time there isn't a single song I would want to replace on the album cause all of them are so excellent and showstopping like... even Guns and Roses! The ultimate option was to make it a 20 song album  quality AND quantity iktr! But sacrifices had to be made I guess.

happy birthday to one of my favorite albums, to one of my favorite album cover arts of all time, I love this record so much, I even painted Lana’s face and the word Ultraviolence on a denim jacket, with metallic studs on my shoulder blades. This album means a lot to me. Can’t believe it’s been eight years.

I remember when this album first came out. I was 13 and I didn't like the vibes I got from the cover. I wanted something like BTD... And then it came out and I loved it and still do. It's such a dark, complex record. She was at a terrible moment in her life and the fact that she was able to build something so enchanting and special... That's a lot. Love UV to pieces.

It could be personal in the sense that she is also afflicted with media scrutiny. Fame is only truly understood by those who have it, so she can feel super close to them. She also once said she believed she had a special, personal connection with people long gone before her through their art. I'll update this post if I find the interview.
