Taylor blocked Charli from #1 in the UK.

She used greedy, capitalist, McDonalds-esque tactics to accomplish it this week.

Truly the Fast Food of Pop Music. Devoid of any soul, substance, depth, or unique talent, tbh.

Ou, I cannot wait for Taylor’s backlash era. You best believe I will be on the frontlines TRASHING her and DRAGGING her to the fiery pits of hell. I will never let her get away with this. One day, she will PAY for her crimes against pop culture.

Sweat marks all on my clothes. Tight like my kinda flow. Yeah I wanna be blinded by the lights lights lights.

But what made the crowd terrible? Push and shovers? General rudeness? Not hype enough?

ITAIATT gives me Kero Kero Bonito vibes.

It’s a good song imo. One of my favorites on the album. I don’t get the hate.

i didn't understand what she meant in interviews about this album being like texting because that's what all her lyrics sound like but now i know that it was code for even weaker lyrics than usual

I love Charli down, but I wasn’t crazy about Brat overall.

My favorites were the all of the pre album songs then from the album tracks:

    Girl, so confusing
    Everything is romantic
    Sympathy is a knife
I think about it all the time

There were elements and parts of other songs I really liked too like Talk talk and Rewind - but honestly I wasn’t feeling a lot of the songwriting in the verses in this album and felt like some of it brought down the material for me. I recognize this is probably her most personal or “transparent” album to date, for better or worse……

There's no way this album is coming anytime soon.

If Masochism is really just a collection of demos, assuming she can no longer use those songs as they would belong to Capitol, she would have to write, record, and produce entirely new material.

Maybe we'll get another one off single in 3-6 months, but that's it.

For someone who wants "proper" releases and budgeted music videos and promotion, I don't see how she is going to make her visions come to life as an independent artist. But best of luck to that woman.

But let's take this as an opportunity to remind ourselves that her saying something for a magazine interview holds little to no weight, historically. Don't hold your breath.

So tired of this flop. I think people finally remembered how corny and cringeworthy she is with the Norman Fucking Rockwell Department era. She's done for. Next era will be her backlash era worse than Kimgate!

If no album is out soon, we’ll resent her even more for blaming Capitol this whole time. Oh Sky Flopeirra…….

Also, I know I'll be the only one but I'm growing a little tired of her hostility towards random accounts asserting that she grew up rich or privileged. The original post she commented on was indeed stupid, but if she feels that strongly about it maybe she should be candid about her childhood, because even the few times she's actually "addressed" it, she's still been very vague.

I think she's not being honest with herself. There's nothing wrong growing up privileged (rich or not). She clearly had opportunities. Not just any of us were running around bumping shoulders with Lindsay Lohan as a pre-teen. I don't know why she feels the need for us to know she has suffered. I know her family situation was not ideal and she didn't feel love, but that's a completely different discussion IMO.

Yeah, Lana and Melanie fans have been in a weird feud since last year after Portals came out. I don't know where it stems from, but I assume it's just been a comparison because they're both two Alt. Pop artists who were prolific during the Tumblr era.

Like, I've seen Melanie stans mock Lana stans with Portals sales, or Lana stans mock Melanie stans with Lana's Spotify streams, etc. I really wish it would stop because it's embarrassing on our end to be hating on any artist, let alone someone like Melanie who does their own thing entirely and is in a different lane than Lana is.

I've had the same issue with Lana stans during the whole Taylor debacle at the Grammys - some people infantilize Lana way too much.
