I actually am kind of loving the remix… if this came on in a club I’d go crazy it’s fun!

Lana Ben and Ed literally gave each other careers. She trusted them enough to be their first client and they believed in her enough to want her to be. She praises them every 5 seconds lmao the sped up versions are probably label initiatives like SS remix was but even if it was Ben and Ed you're trying to act like they're evil for giving her a bag pls lmao she did a 5 second selfie cover for her most popular release in years I'm sure she does not give that much of a fuck lmaooo.

Love haters can suck it. Yes, it shouldn’t have been the opener but the song is still great and epic. It made grannies cry on those "Senior's listen to…" reaction videos.

I wonder if she'll use the Ocean Blvd outtakes as a starting point for the next thing or if she's leaving all that behind. Maybe the "outtakes" aren't even that and she recorded them with the next project in mind...
Ocean Blvd title track and Fingertips were recorded in 2021, in the last stages of BB or just after it and we thought they were outtakes at first but they were always meant for the next album
We know that Zodiac was at one point part of the record though...
I think we'll have some songs with Jon (on production at least) on LDRX since CN was one of the last tracks she made for Ocean Blvd and we got his interlude that sounds nothing like that other song... so they were it the studio playing around quite a bit and I'm sure something nice came out from it

Because Pink Champagne belongs to Ultraviolence and LMLYLAW belongs to Chemtrails.
He made a beautiful cohesive album honestly.

I think that she should work more with jon batiste
CN and the interlude were top-notch tracks imo and felt a bit different to the rest of the album in a way

yeah because lana told him to obviously? its not like he maliciously took the song and made lana change thw lyrics and tone the instrumental down. its not the first time the final version of one of her songs is drastically different from the demo. who are we gonna blame for changing beautiful people beautiful problems? rick nowels?

wouldn’t mind more ethereal post rock tinged production like grandfather tbh..I still think the production is top notch in her discography

I was gonna say these probably mean nothing but then I remembered she teased "that's why they call me lanita" and "3 white buttlerflies to know you're near" on her Insta back in 2022
"There were stories of a church in the forest up north" definitely sounds like it could be an opening line to a song but idk

u know what I'm high, listening to Fingertips and what I really, additionally, love about it past it's first frontier of a beautiful warp of space of sound, is how the parallels of neurons in the brain can similarly be found in form to hands, and how they reach out to other neurons/ synapses and neuro-plasticity , in a way that Lana also parallels reaching for her family. It's the perfect hammock of themes. It flows and swims well with the broader theme of the importance and respecting and the carrying of memories (past the easy fore-fronted material, but what really matters in toward a more purposeful, post-just existing mindset and life). It's like the song's a beautiful thread swimming and extracted freshly from your subconscious space, to also, almost expanding into external galaxies. Like a perfect, resounding modicum of origin to then the swooping promises of limitless possibilities, real similar to the Hero's Journey. It has it's own, very much deserved, universe in and of itself. It's so clear; kinda how water can be so refreshing and purifying.

It’s giving smoker’s voice. I’m not saying she exactly has smoker’s voice but something is going on. Similar to, for example, what happened to Mariah Carey. She is not a smoker, but her voice has undeniably changed for the worst. Mariah used to do her breathy whisper voice as “ornaments” to her normal singing. As years past, that melisma whisper has become her main signature singing style. Further, it changed from being just a style to something she was consciously using to cover up the fact that she couldn’t use her chest voice properly anymore.
Ok, she prefers it to sing in head voice, but the problem is it’s not pleasant anymore. This has been the whole discussion. We want her to sing deeper again because her higher voice is airy and dry now. Her higher voice in AKA is way more pleasant, rich, and on pitch compared to her recent songs where the high note sounds like she’s searching and wavering for melodies and very shaky. “Margaret” is a big example of this where she can’t quite hit the right note and it sounds almost nasally.
In a minor key 'Cause when you know, you know
When you know, you know She could’ve hit this much harder.
Listen to Shades Of Cool then Listen to Textbook. Her voice has so much more power in Shades. It sounds really weak and brittle in Textbook. In fact, her hissing airy notes started with the Blue Banisters album and continues to Ocean until now the new Snow recording.
Fishtail is easily one of her worst songs vocally. Her messy vocals added a vibe to the song, but I can’t deny it’s a mess and very weak in a traditional sense. I can tell it’s a recent recording. She’s actually been writing songs that are complementing her new voice. Paris, Texas fits her high voice perfectly with cracks and all. The cracks and pitchyness added character to the song. Some songs work better than others.

ok there is more lana but unfotunately they cut away the best parts of the song (the intro and outro)
