after having a think on it, i really do think BB is a masterpiece. literally runs laps around some of her other records.
 
it's unbelievable that this record came from the same mind as LFL. to me they are complete opposites with LFL representing her most mainstream, formulaic work centered around industry standards and BB representing her tearing down those restrictive industry-imposed boundaries and exposing her most raw thought and emotions.
 
it's also so interesting how even between BB and COCC, you can hear such a difference in how her creative choices in production are loosened to mirror her authenticity and individuality. I remember her saying during the chemtrails era that she wanted Jack to really let go on the production end and ultimately "wanted more." On BB we see her finally being able to let go of convention and it's immaculate. revolutionary. 

Guys, I love Dealer so much, it may be one of my fave Lana songs ever  and that says it all cuz I generally don’t prefer features, I want exclusively her beautiful soft sultry incredible voice to pierce my ears, but in this case it’s just sooo good 

I haven’t felt this way about a Lana album since Honeymoon. Lfl Was a disappointment for me since it was all over the place and felt sooooo long, I loveeeeee NFR and cock but it felt so different from the first three albums. They were great but a certain level of sparkle that ultra and honey had wasn’t really present throughout the whole album for me. Definitely some songs like Cali and the greatest and a bunch more but I wasnt into it as much as I wished.
 
But blue banisters, wow it’s really doing something to me. I can’t stop playing it. Her performance on it is so stellar, there’s no skips (except the trio since I just wanna hear Lana’s voice LOL)
 
Her voice is Center stage and the production is just enough. Songwriting is top notch and the subtleties of her pronunciation and cadence wowowowoowowowow
 
I really hope she sings more songs from this album if she tours again, dreaming with y’all 

I genuinely had not been thoroughly impressed by the production of a Lana album since 'Honeymoon'. 'Blue Banisters' is honestly up there with 'Ultraviolence', 'Honeymoon' and 'Born To Die' for me. I'm in love. 

Every time I listen to the album, I have some unexpected special moments. Today it was actually "Dealer" that caught me, even though I had heard it a few dozen times before. It was such a perfect listening experience like 110%. I don't know if I'll hear it that way again, but I understand now why it performs so well.

my vinyl arrived today and wow, this is definitely her most sophisticated cover... it's really really lovely to look at
the colours are so warm and inviting, the yellow goes really nicely with the brown and the white frame, her dress is silky and stunning, her bare feet make her look so relaxed, open and vulnerable and the dogs look so strong and protective, just beautiful

That's your opinion but I don't agree. If you don't want to take time with the album to understand the story she's telling that's your choice, but don't tell the rest of us that we're wrong for feeling how we feel. I repeat, this is a cohesive and complex album in my opinion, and your opinion doesn't change that. 
 
I also don't think Lana's making albums for new fans at this point. Lana is the kind of artist that just gets better and better as you listen to her entire output and analyze the development in her themes and sounds. She is very much a storyteller who builds upon all of her previous work, so who cares if Blue Banisters isn't going to make someone revisit her discography if they don't already listen to her, although I don't actually agree with you here as there are plenty of great songs on the album that will make people curious about the rest of her music.

Now imagine lana reading all those bull shit on her social medias...I hope she never come back again 

The fuck is this? Did this album hurt you? This isn't an opinion it's a generalization that you cannot prove or assume and is cynical as all hell. Sorry not sorry this album didn't deliver for you,  but speak for yourself cus this isn't even a hot take, it's just stupid.

So we're not true fans for liking the album, but you were literally on here a few months ago going on and on about Lana's body in a negative manner and you are? This just in: people are allowed to like new things and still be a fan of the artist! I don't care whether or not you like the album, this is a weird mentality for anyone to have on any musician. I agree that most of those songs you mentioned are outstanding tracks, but that doesn't take away from there being tracks people like on Blue Banisters too and to claim that it does makes absolutely zero sense. 
 
This is just a general thing to everyone, myself included: your opinions do not equal facts, and you shouldn't present them as such. Okay, rant over

Sorry but this is such a bad take. There are tons of people here who are genuinely loving the album and are certainly super fans, or we wouldn't be spending so much of our time on LanaBoards. It's fine if the album didn't click for you, but don't act like you're enlightened because of it, and those of us who think the album is brilliant and beautiful are either faking it or don't know what we're talking about. I actually feel like a true super fan is more likely to pick up on a lot of the intricacies of the album and absolutely understand what Lana was doing here. It's a great record with a cohesive and complex story.

This album will be way more stable then cocc... Mark my worlds
