    the production is supposed to be 8 bitty/distorted i really love it. and the pre choruses... wow. if that’s the sound that carries that album then i am IN! my cali trip is july first so i hope it stays on track. wowowoww this might be her best album yet. who knows. let’s manifest

    For Lorde’s standards it is pretty weak lyrically. Which is fine because I’m sure there’s more to come that could hopefully surpass the beautiful verbiage and poetry of melodrama and ph. Also the super crisp effect Jack is using on her voice is not doing it for me for Lorde in particular. For Lana however it worked very well and was one of the best parts of NFR.

    The harmonies at the end are gorgeous, but the overall song is bland and a disappointment- she needed to reverb the guitars a bit- maybe add in some slower hip hop beats and there you go- a bop
