Do people realize that—throughout Lana’s career—many of her songs have started as voice memos (or even just little melodies she’d hum) that were later assigned chords on piano and then repackaged with different production once the melody and chord progression was figured out? This process is neither new to Lana nor specific to Jack.

Toying around with lyrics in the studio, using voice memos, going in the studio for fun, etc. aren’t measures of work ethic, inspiration, or quality. In fact, Antonoff (and other producers/engineers) himself has talked about her stubbornness in the studio. An artist with little care or motivation for her work will not fight to see it manifested how she wants it.

Excited! Also - the mention of messing with 808s intrigues me. Last time we heard 808s from Lana was in DBJAG’s verses…

i'm annoyed with the people complaining about it possibly being a piano ballad. a new song is a new song 🤷‍♀️ someone on insta is already calling it trash. just because it's not what you want doesnt make it "trash," i actually loved the piano ballads and i'm excited nonetheless. hopefully they release it

This energy belongs in the LDR9 thread cause girl it ain’t jacks idea. Blue banisters is mostly piano ballads with no Antonoff credits in sight.

Is this the first explicit acknowledgment that there has been any recording whatsoever besides Rob's ethereal post? 
 
 

Well this is also a sign that the album could be multiple producers since she only has 1 new Jack one confirmed. Maybe they’ll make a few together or maybe use some of the unused bombastic ones (hoping and praying Loved You Then and Now is one of these) and then there will be other producers too, some new some old! Hoping for a summer 2023 release with a huge rollout and critical acclaim!!

I was trying to find what's (in my opinion) each Lana album's nexus song (like tracks that are reminiscent about the previous record or hint about the sound of the next one) and I determined UV is her most different album in her (released) discography cause I can't link anything from there 
BTD - Cola - Paradise - (?) - UV - (?) - HM - Heroin - LFL - Change - NFR - HIADT - Chemtrails - LMLYLAW - BB
 
The last albums were also "hard" cause I think ever since she released Change she made clear her partial transition into a more singer songwriter style so it was all a continuous change instead of a bigger jump in sound.
As for the future... I hope we get another UV situation where it's something completely different. If it's a more gradual evolution I hope she picks up on the chaotic side of BB instead of just the confessional stuff. I also really liked her sampling Enio's music cause it set a nice vibe for a couple of songs.

I think LFL/NFR was the last time we got somewhat decent merch that represented the era but was also kinda creative?
 
Chemtrails for me was the biggest let down! They could've done so much with that visual... LDR golf balls, tea cups, compact mirrors, pearls etc. 
 
I still love the idea of an LDR tea set, teapot with a classic style then each cup representing a different era? Like maybe the flowers or something? And then they could do limited edition anniversary tea cups etc.
 
For the Born To Die anniversary, I would've liked to have seen heartshaped sunglasses, coke necklace, zip lighter, blue jeans bathing suit, national anthem themed beach towel? the lyric book could have been reprinted, lithographs, off to the races playing cards, rose keychain... There's so many possibilities!
 
I do like the prayer candle however.
 

Sure just to be clear im not dragging lana AT ALL, great that she is all about the music, im dragging her merch team or whoever its in charge of the village. This is the topic to talk about her merch on the village, which its not it, i only said that they could be better, and you make a big deal out of it like I questioned lana herself lmao, the village are the ones selling shitty designs on shitty quality items over and over again. And theres no greed to satisfy on my part i’ll tell you that lmao

Naur cause her old merch company was actually good... my LFL California hoodie is still holding up fine after almost 5 years of use  the LFL merch in general seemed so much higher quality the mesh windbreaker... the places in California trench... the racer jacket... and the embroidery was nice too! how far we've fallen

Not to be that person but...
She or her team just does not care enough, I mean the anniversary already passed, the designs are very lackluster, considering that just in this blog theres people that could do better merch that the fans really enjoy, also 36$ for a tshirt with a meh design plus expensive shipping anywhere outside the US, PLUS awful costumer service. I think the village its pretty cool but it's not it, but if they made an effort (which i have yet to see) with the costumer service and design wise I, and i feel a lot of us, would be more interested 

I don't really care that much about poetry in general but I know she's really passionate about it so if that's what's coming next I'm here for it (but I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer the album tho).
Those publishing contracts seem to be pretty strict so I'm surprised she hasn't released it yet after delaying it from March 2021 (I think?) but maybe that wasn't even a real discussed date.  
We know the album is close (maybe not as close as we think) but if she's releasing other stuff before I'll be grateful for more Lana content. It's honestly crazy how she  never stops working so I appreciate anything she puts out 
By the way... do we even have confirmation that we are getting another audiobook? Maybe it was just a one time thing to promote her first book and make it more "accessible" to people who don't read as much (like me )
