If I had to pick one song from each to be scrapped

BTD- TIWMUG sorry sis least memorable
P- Cola or Gods and Monsters… probably Cola
    UV- guns and roses
HM- Swan Song or that terribly produced DLMBM
LFL- this is hard bc like 4 songs can just go tbh, maybe 5. But probably GBA
    NFR- Love Song. Period.
    COTCC- the collabs. Period.

The Interlude on Honeymoon is somehow expendable for me
Cola on Paradise, the song is good, but the text ...

This is gonna be controversial af, but what are the songs that in your opinion, shouldn't have made the cut. Not only the ones you hate, but the ones that are fillers or that just don't fit in the project they were released. In the later case, you can suggest a better fitting project where they should've been released instead.

For me: MDM is too good for BTD, should've been on HM or even UV. Carmen should've been on UV, TNC on COCC, TNBAR scrapped or on LFL.

I agree they are not pop and always thought it was crazy. Am I losing it or wasn’t there some recent info stating she had submitted under alternative but the noms were all transferred to pop? That info could be false too though. Regardless the Grammys are so political now. Lana is it not one to play the game so I really don’t see much changing for her Grammy wise. I agree w you in that COCC probably will be snubbed for noms. We will see I guess.

Eh the Grammy's are an outdated thing where the committee only bum-lick the hype over the talent. Pay them no attention and let them lose all credibility on their own

Lana’s albums have always been in pop categories. It is unfortunate because they really would do better in alternative. They are not traditional pop. In saying that though it was recently revealed a while back that her team has been submitting her under the alternative category but the Grammy’s change them to the pop categories. Not sure how or why or if it is true but it was something that was discussed sometime ago. At the end of the day the Grammys have truly become a popularity contest. While I do think Lana still wants a Grammy I think she is really disillusioned after NFR and probably has a more fuck it attitude about it. Idk I don’t see COCC really getting any noms with it being a less saturated release. If it does that would be amazing but we already know it will be snubbed win wise. I hate to be cynical but the odds and politics are just not in her favor.

If she submits COCC for BPVA, she has already lost and her label knows it. It’s more probable that they submitted for Best Americana or Best Alternative, because in this categories she has more chance And COCC isn’t a Pop Album.

She was active on it this year, but I was asked not to include it on here
I don't think Lana has much to do with ldrvillage. It's def affiliated with her but not exactly run by her

But this duet only works because Miles and Lana's parts are so opposite. He's calm and chilled and wants to be alone, while she's upset and wild. It's not as funny anymore when Lana sings all the parts.

Just from the song titles, I'm very confident that the unknown songs will fit well with the rest of the album. There is no reason to expect a disappointment.

Bill takes me down to the beach in the coat that he got from his father
He whispers to me that sometimes he thinks he sees things over the water
    Like maybe UFOs or something
    Flying in the air
Well I don’t know about those, Bill
    But I don’t care

    Slow burn
    I’m hot like a fire

    But you’re getting higher
Life is so crazy, I can’t take it
But at least we’ve got tonight
    We’ve still got tonight

So since we're in the dark, what do we know about songs five through eight from other recent albums (with at least 14 or 15 songs)? Have they disappointed us? (the last song 'Sweet Carolina' won't compare, I think).

NFR: Doin' time, Love song, Cinnamon girl, How to disappear
LFL: White Mustang, Summer Bummer, Groupie Love, In My Feelings
Honeymoon: High By The Beach, Freak, Art Deco, Burnt Interlude (ok an Interlude, let's take no. 4 God Knows I tried)
Ultraviolence: West Coast, Sad Girl, Pretty When You Cry, Money Power Glory

Fortunately, we know that this time there is no collaboration with ASAP Rocky, so it can't become that bad. Every album has had at least one chart single (Doin' time, High By The Beach, West Coast, even Summer Bummer) at this position and the others are almost all strong songs. So I think we really have nothing to worry about.

i haven't read the past million pages so someone might've said this already... but i was doing some comparison to the previously unreleased tracks to their released version from the songs i have in my library and this is what i found.

    Thunder
    Unreleased: 4:30
    Released: 4:19
    Nectar of the Gods
    Unreleased: 4:24
    Released: 4:20
    Living Legend
    Unreleased: 4:04
    Released: 4:01
    Cherry Blossom
    Unreleased: 3:17
    Released: 3:18

to me, this shows that thunder is probably the only reworked one. unless she recorded new vocals for the others. thought it was interesting to point out!
