Idk if this has been said but I feel like she's only doing it with capitol bc they have the rights to the songs she wants to cover. Their catalog includes
    Frank Sinatra
    The Beach Boys
    John Lennon
    Paul McCartney
    Jimi Hendrix
    Glenn Campbell

Edit: nvm @Arcadia beat me to it

    Let's go Pokemon Queen.
If she signed to Capital already - Then Capitol,it's not too late to put Lana in Pokemon 25: The Album!!!

I need Lana Fucking Del Rey to make a song sampled "Undella Town" / "Lavender town" theme, that Katy Perry, Mabel, Post Malone song arent doing IT for me.

I want to say that Arcadia is perfectly placed after Blue Banisters in this album. The first song slows down the sense of hearing, it's nearly like time is standing still, and after that you hear Arcadia more attentively and with a slower and more intense feeling.

COVID put aside all of her other projects (touring) and she could record as much as she wanted, I guess. Which is really good for us!!

She's already working on this now, even after releasing two albums in one year....does she know she's allowed to take a break? In all seriousness, I'm so excited to see what songs she's covering, and I'm so glad she's actually making it. Interesting that she's at Captiol  Also, completely unrelated, but she looks stunning in that picture she posted outside the building

Blue banisters is kind of her best title track lyrically if we think about it… like the subtext on that song is next level

If her body is a map of L.A. and she leaves L.A., is she then leaving her body (dying)? Because in the video her body vanishes and she blurs into the starry sky. She's also speaking about a cross on a hill and the slowly playing trumpets are giving me this impression.

Arcadia got a lot of praise from critics. Even from EW, that never really loved her (it’s one of the few critics that didn’t include Norman on their « top albums » list of that year). Good for her

I prefer videos directed by Lana herself like Arcadia more than with high budget.

It's good that she evolves and not sticks to her old style and stereotypes.

Sorry for this stupid title didn't know how to call this. Further I don't know if this is the right place for this info but I just stumbled upon sth really really interesting.

Some austrian sites (maybe other too) reported about an interview of Lana with 'Grazia' in which she revealed that she was a member of a sect!

Quick translation of one of those articles:
The singer allegedly used to be dominated by a Guru. Since he wanted to "break" his girls she left the sect.
US-singer Lana Del Rey has a past in a sect behind her. "I used to be a member of an underground sect which was reigned by a guru. He surrounded himself with young girls," she told the magazine Grazia. She as well couldn't resist his "insane charisma". She was longing for "love and safety" in this group.
But the guru turned out to be a bad person. "He thought that he had to break people first to build them up again. At the end I quit the sect." Her addiction to alcohol which she had as a teenager is over as well adds the 27 year old. "For ten years I haven't touched a drink - but I'd somehow really like to."

This newspaper/website is usually quite reliable so...yeah.

Thought? So "you're my cult leader" suddenly has a completely new meaning...
