yeah it's embarrasing. Just look at what music is constantly being using in movies, shows, advertisements, etc. It's all 50s-90s mega hits and a spark of 2000-2010s. 

The 70's were the most relevant musical decade, closely followed by the 80's, then the 60's and the 90's. Only a few songs have been written in the last few years that will still be known or interesting in a few decades.

I would add more unique lyrics to some songs where the lyrics are just repeated.

Actually, I made that edit with the poster and photo of her to the right of it, and she reposted it lol. I think the Grammys aren't as important as having your songs live on and stay in the cultural memory (for the next decades) , like many Beatles songs do. Lana has done that at least twice with "Summertime Sadness" and "Video Games," but I think it's about time for another one.

I think what is meant here is that some of her songs have become "heavy fare", lacking lightness and humor. But there are enough counter-examples, such as 'Dealer', 'Peppers' or A&W part 2.
