take comfort in how this show doesn't really change anything. it literally doesn't matter. award or not her music's still leagues above. no need to worry. 

While she didn’t win a Grammy, can we just acknowledge how amazing it is that a song like A&W got nominated? The rawness in the first half juxtaposed by the trap beats at the end is just groundbreaking. It really ushered in a new way of song creation in 2023. It should’ve won at least one award but something as fresh and nuanced being nominated makes me so happy 

they can't let her win bc they don't understand her. 
if they don't understand her it makes them look like fools. 
even if they ARE fools at least they won't look like fools but they are. 
 
deep down they know they're losing relevancy. 
they say it's for the music but they've been tone deaf for how long now so who's convincing who of what. 
and imagine not listening to Lana Del Rey. 

she's like the embodiment of a classy yassification pill in music like come on. 



all the more reason not to feel anything or associate with what the show barely pretends to stand for. pls-

To be fair, she will never win a Grammy unless she starts playing the game.. and I don’t know what’s worse, being snubbed by the Grammys or finally winning one because you gifted your way there 
 
at the end of the day, she doesn’t need a Grammy to quantify her success, she’s an inspiration to so many and she’s been on that billboard 100 with BTD for 10 years 
 
the fan base she has is so dedicated and intense. And we’ll never forget her. You don’t get to become a cult favourite without making deep and impactful music.

Why even give her 5 nominations to do this with her ?

We really did lose HARD tonight and tonight was rough but Lana sat in the front row of the Grammy's next to THE biggest musician on the planet (and obvious close personal friend), having been nominated for FIVE categories after releasing one of her most cohesive and captivating works after 18 years of writing music. Then, a project she is involved in wins the biggest award of the night, and accompanies the artist to the stage to accept her award. That shot of Lana standing there with Sam Dew shouldn't be coded as "sad" or "disappointing" or whatever. That is truly one of her most iconic shots ever. We can't change who wins but we can accept the outcomes without vitriol or hate. She is standing on the Grammy's stage being praised by the winner of AOTY surrounded by her close musician friends. Taylor literally dedicated time from her own speech to genuinely recognize Lana without going down the corny "I shouldn't have won this, you should've" route. Millions of people around the planet watched that tribute, and whether you like it or not, this was one of the biggest nights of Lana's career.
 
That being said, the lack of recognition for Lana's work is unconscionable. But that isn't what makes the art good.

I felt Lana’s awkwardness in my bones when Taylor dragged her onto the stage… But I think it came from a good place in Taylor’s heart and she was obviously planning on Lana standing closer to her when she dedicated part of her speech to her. Idk I have mixed feelings about this moment 🫠
 
Like I saw someone else say, their energy that whole night was giving black cat and golden retriever 😭 I wonder if they already knew how this would go.

Someone needs to sculpt a Grammy, smash it, repair it with kintsugi, and give it to her at whichever yeehaw show she's at next
