part of the reason for her break was family bereavement iirc, she lost her grandmother (the one that sang on fear and loathing) and a great-aunt(?) and her dad got sick too, she was crying on several occasions during the neon nature tour but she was 'stuck' (financially) so she couldn't stop the tour, I think she was a bit traumatised by the whole thing.
like she went from froot being her best moment and 'achieving everything she wanted' and proving herself to all this bereavement.

pretty sure she went to psychology college for a semester in 2016/2017 and then dropped out. she was working on l+f in 2016-2017 too so she never really took a break from music just publicly. 

That's one huge mystery that I kinda wanna know about as well. During this break, she ended up dropping "and the Diamonds" and her writing also ended up being a lot more watered down and subdued. Even the tracks from Electra Heart, which was considered as her most commercial sell out album at the time, had sharper and more biting penmanship compared to even the most "introspective" songs of L+F. 
 
I truly think something happened during her break that severely affected her writing prowess. ADIAML was better than L+F but it's still not on-par with her first three releases.

It’s gonna flop imo. Instagram is dying already and apparently you have to delete your Instagram account to delete the threads account. Plus meta sucks. Despite Elon fucking up twitter, I don’t see it going anywhere. 

She teased flowers aesthetic after L+F though, I think it was more a sign to Jack that he could buy her some flowers 
 
I don't think she's Taylor Swift but cherries are probably an indicator on the themes of her new album? People also forget that she has a poetry book too, maybe that has something to do w cherries. But if she likes cherries, then yeah, it's her own life afterall

But in the second photo, she tagged Ben H Berger (who also dates her friend Sadie Newman), who is a member of a songwriting, record production and remix group Captain Cuts, who has worked with Marina and they co-wrote and co-produced songs like Lonely Hearts Club, Superstar, Karma and About Love and an unreleased song from Love + Fear era called What I Wanna Do. Is it a possible hint for a new collaboration on her new album?

fun and non-chart conforming production, lyrics that are actually well thought out if she made a political statement (savages) and a fun era where she didnt feel like an LA try hard

Froot will always stay her magnum opus. No skips, great songwriting, great production.

It's such a gem. I believe it's her best piano track. Maybe my favorite Marina song. 
 
I miss that sound and I'm glad that we got Goodbye, it's the closest to Obsessions that we have gotten since years.

I and some others actually really like that song so no not really- it’s a bop with some off kilter verses for sure though but it’s no worse than some songs off Froot 
Not sure how’s it laughable but if you really dislike her discog or her vibe then yeah it’s not the best song to choose for you

Hate to say it but listening to her music feels more cringeworthy with each month recently. This is something that Lana has been able to escape, perhaps thanks to her experimentalism and neverending passion to music, even at her lowest or most desperate she never sounded "cheap", she's been able to finally gain international critics' respect. I don't know if it's because of my age but certainly the feeling that most of Marina's fandom consists of angsty teenagers does not help. I can't help but get the impression she's somewhat stuck in that immature music place and does not want to grow. I need her to release something actually mature and meaningful, not fucked with the food chain fucked with the farming too shit.
