Why bother listening to Purge the Poison? I think she was in such a state of mind, especially during her breakup, that she simply had to create something juvenile like this. But if you really want to give her a try as a Lana fan I highly recommend songs like "Valley of the Dolls", "Starring Role", "Happy", "Immortal", "Teen Idle", "Obsessions", "The State of Dreaming", ones that are actually touching and Lana-esque in some places. And her wisest sociopolitical song to this day probably remains "Sex Yeah", could've been written by Lily Allen.
 
As for charity, we know only about that project to help Afroamerican artists I guess?

Hate to say it but listening to her music feels more cringeworthy with each month recently. This is something that Lana has been able to escape, perhaps thanks to her experimentalism and neverending passion to music, even at her lowest or most desperate she never sounded "cheap", she's been able to finally gain international critics' respect. I don't know if it's because of my age but certainly the feeling that most of Marina's fandom consists of angsty teenagers does not help. I can't help but get the impression she's somewhat stuck in that immature music place and does not want to grow. I need her to release something actually mature and meaningful, not fucked with the food chain fucked with the farming too shit.

I think F and G are the only answers likely. PORTALS is only 3 months old, and a deluxe was already released. I fear she won't be using any other of the marvelous outtakes like Dragon's Blood, Garden, Needle & Thread or Fingers Crossed (absolute CRIME) and she has never been an artist to release many remixes anyways.
Another likely option is an in-between EP, but not coming soon.

I typed a reply to this a few days ago and decided not to post it, but now this is BLOWING UP and exaggerated articles are being written about it and pushed all over SM, so it's back on my brain..
 
I get that PORTALS has become her passion project and she wants funding really badly. But that shouldn't mean using her(mostly teenage) fans for money, pushing them cheaply made jewelry(for $700), NFTs, hologram "meet and greets", etc. Next thing you know they'll be paying for a M&G with a her cardboard cutout for $300/ticket, and it'll be "okay" because "she told you that's what it'd be, didn't you read?". Like, just open a GoFundMe. We'd probably all pitch in.
 
Besides, if she'd used more of the leaks for the final tracklist, set aside more promo budget, and put out less but higher quality merch, she'd have made so much more money off initial sales. She's intentionally put herself in a corner and I wonder if it'll be worth it in the end, let alone what she envisioned.. Especially after we've seen her waste opportunities on the music videos to save ideas for the movie almost no one wants.
  
All in all I guess I'm just confused and have no idea how to feel other than being exhausted by the constant controversy chewing on this fandom ever since 2017.

Btw, Lana was amazing, in person it's definitely her best tour yet and honestly last night she gave some of her best vocals ever. 
Also, the venue was huge and allegedly 20k tickets were sold. The PIT was loud af! The sound was pretty bad though -- not her fault, the festival is very messy.

The "call" of "there's a tunnel under ocean blvd" by the singers, and the audience answering "don't forget me!" then the background vocalists ad libbing and improvising at the end, where the spotlight shines on them, has me emotional. So beautiful.
Pretty When You Cry belongs in Lana's set. I like this capture, because you see how the live evolved with the heavy rock treatment, i.e., Carlin White's masterful drumming, Blake's unbelievable solo at the end, and the precision choreo by Alex et al . . . Still learning names. Alex and company aren't taking prisoners. It is difficult to dance in sync on a stage. On Pretty, the dancers display amazing synchronization. So powerful. It moves me to tears on a different level than the voices on Ocean . . . Just how it builds and has that splashy crescendo at the end . . . Watch drummer Carlin White. He's playing notes, not just keeping a robotic beat.
