Why is White MuSTANK in every set lists? She’s been singing that song since 2017 as if it’s some big classic hit .

    NO one cares for it.

COTCC and BB don't fit the " interesting " narrative you are trying to put out

I think I told you guys during the pre-release cycle, but I find that if I have a very visual dream and remember it the next morning, at least one detail of it will eventually come true.
A couple of nights ago, I had a dream of myself watching the livestream for this show, and the only song I saw her perform before I woke up was Pretty When You Cry. She did the same choreography of lying down on the stage with a dancer on each side. Her hair was parted in the middle styled with loose waves, and she was wearing a red, black, and white patterned dress with long puff sleeves - sort of in the same silhouette as the dress she wore in her most recent Billboard shoot or some of the Zimmermann dresses she would wear.
Anyway, PWYC was the first song we got confirmation of her sound checking tonight and it sounds like it was one of, if not the first song sound-checked. My dreams never miss

I've listened to that song so much that I know every single note and pause between words

Once everything has calmed down and I've gotten away from my expectations, I can see the album for what it is. It's amazing that we have an album like that. My only concern with Lana's albums is whether it comes with something different and has a unique aura. Even if Lana references herself, this album has her identity. I like how there are tracks that, even though you've listened to them a lot and memorized the lyrics, they take you on a trip like it's the first time, and you don't know what's going to come next. I think Kintsugi's construction is incredible, when she seems to finish the song, she comes up with "Daddy I miss them" again and so on. Then comes Fingertips with a melody that goes around and around and she's just throwing words at you and everything just sounds so beautiful. I'm in love with this album and I still can't believe it's almost the 10th, where Lana remains as interesting as at the beginning of her career. I understand everyone's personal tastes and I understand who doesn't now. But believe me: one hour you will connect with him and see all the beauty.

it's been nearly a month and my favorite lyrics/ stand out to me are:

"so you say there's a chance, for us?" "do you think about heaven? do you think about me?"
"it's like camarillo only silver mirrors runnin down the corridor" "fuck me to death, love me until I love myself"
"what you don't really understand, is that I've got magic in my hands, stars in my eyes"

"love me if you love enough, you can be my light"
I wanna say "callin aquaman to my bedroom, ended up we fucked on the hotel floor" feels a lot more iconic

"rhino designer" "infatuated w Adam's son, why are you so fascinated with me?"

"fortune teller, favorite ever, that's the story of us" "white noise comin out of my brain, turns off for nothin" "i feel lucky"

"probably runnin away from the feelings today, in the snow-capped mountains of the desert" "I don't know anyone else that knows the songs that I sing..."
"it's just that I don't trust myself, with my heart- so i had to let it break a little more, cus they say that's what it's for"

    So much in Fingertips

first verse of grandfather, "cus i'm good in spirit, warm-bodied a fallible deity wrapped up in white"
    "when you know, you know"

"like hollywood and me, that diamond on your ring, the soul that you bring to the table"
"lately i've been sunnin in the LA riverbed, wearing nothin but the summer bruises on my knees" "I wish I could skinny dip in your mind"
"i'm like fuck it dance naked for the neighbors i open up the blinds" "Hands on your knees, I'm Angelina Jolie..."
"knife in my jacket, honey on the vine, baby I'll bring the coffee if you bring the wine"

"when I'm violent it's Carlito's Way" "spin it til you whip it into whipped cream, baby" "imagine if we actually gave a fuck"

the lyricism spins from deep, poignant, to just plain immaculate like polished metal.

    ----------------

    such a solid, active album.
btd's energy feels like running or escaping a casino
    uv's like a seedy underground bar/ studio / motel w great amenities
honeymoon' feels aptly like the glamorous world of hollywood and all that that means
    lfl, modern hollywood woodstock
nfr, titanic the film, as well as an art indie cinema film
chemtrails, like a lazy day in an opulent garden waiting for that something to feel alive again
blue banisters, a funeral of a past self, shedding herself of clothes from a past world

and I know that it's just been a month but. in some kind of strange way, I think it might be, i can't articulate it to the exact point but, she feels the most alive and present here. sounds like she's the most awake here, the most present. and i think she does that w the clear instrumentation and her vocals.

the photoshoots, the album imagery w the different covers/ visuals. the way candy necklace's video was presented to us, and the meta hollywood star moment.

i feel so grateful to be able to be experiencing this, and having albums i've already known of hers beforehand just adds to it. it feels like- like ur being rewarded for coming this far with her music and her journey as an artist. i know that not much is happening at the moment, but i deem it as a pivotal sort of time, experiencing all this art, feelin like life's woven some kind of magic and wonder thru this album and her art. just wow- thank u Lana 💕

Yeah, but I can’t say that I’m surprised: SYTH was already a fan-fave for many months now and its format makes it easier to have big streaming numbers: at 3:30, I rarely listen to it once.
and let’s face it: OB is a masterpiece, but most songs aren’t very light in tone, when they’re not very very long. Not the best for big numbers.

since Norman, there’s a « pattern » of some sort when it comes to her releases: she makes the singer-songwriter records she wants, and there are collabs or a standalone single in this case that are extremely successful, which makes everyone « happy »
