When Doin Time came out, we initially thought it was just for the Sublime documentary -  it was then tacked onto NFR and kind of became the album’s most commercial song.
 
I’m wondering if that’s the case here. Lasso was done, and then by happenstance, she linked up with Quavo and they made the song. So, like Doin Time, perhaps the song just kind of came out of nowhere and she felt it could go on the album. 

If everything goes well, my job will allow me to have backstage access during Primavera Sound here in Porrugal. I will 100% talk with her about Lasso.

She was asked if lasso still is planned to come out this year and she said yes !!

An ATRL insider who confirmed the song’s existence back in February confirmed the title

June 20 — nothing happens
June 21 — "Lasso feat. Nikki Lane" lead single release
June 22 - August 1 — radio silence
August 2 — Second "Lasso" single
August 3 - September 26 — tons of promo, interviews, magazine, listening parties, etc.
September 27 - Album release
October 19 — random music video drop for 2 songs

Seeing Lana, from Chemtrails, flirting with the country little by little, to this day with her attending music festivals and wearing country fashion on a daily basis makes me think that this project could perhaps turn out to be the best-crafted aesthetic project since Born To Die. Like, you clearly see that she's just as excited as before. It's not good to create expectations, because it could actually come up with something more intimate and simple. But, just like her debut, seemingly harmless at first, her country debut can definitely reinvent the wheel.

I do hope she releases unchained melody at some point, but either as an album of covers or release it as a single like she did with country roads.

She literally looks like a 1960s country legend that is about to release a masterpiece of an album that will define the music industry. She seems so relaxed; so ethereal; so fucking iconic. I love her. This is a fantastic performance. And Cauthen is sensational, too. 
 
 

She looks and sounds absolutely phenomenal 
 
you can tell she’s a lot more confident when she’s on stage with someone else so I’m not surprised her vocals were some of her best! 
 
I’ve always thought Lana sounds amazing when it’s just her and a guitar and this further solidifies my belief!

I want an album with just her voice and no muffled production.

I need these vocals on Lasso  Jack Antonoff stop muffling my girl.

Not with a headliner, not even on the main stage, and this is where she fucking shines. Beyond excited for Lasso. It truly feels like she’s found her people, she looks so fucking happy. I think those who are saying Lasso will be a flop like Chemtrails (which has aged beautifully, btw) will be proven very very wrong this year.
