Okay that makes me feel better about thinking that this is her worst song ever lyrically 
Overall... I think the song is just fine. It feels very demoy to me honestly
 
The highlight really is the bridge and her vocals 

Imo the melody is different in each of the choruses of Maddox and Clay. I think Clay used Maddox’s vibe and lyrics and adapted the melody to be more Lana-esque which is what Lana ultimately used

edit 2: at the start of his voice note, Clay says “I think melody would be something like..” so I guess that confirms that he took Maddox’s first version and tweaked it.

I just woke up, and listened about five times to just the audio, then watched the video. I don't know if this has been talked about yet but imo for Lana fans, the video is about 1000x better experience  than just the audio. It's been a little while since this has happened.

Had to wait to listen because work. It’s corny, but it’s cute. I’ve already played it a few times and I do like it although it isn’t anything brilliant of course. I like that she can do simple bops, and complex dark shit too. Multifaceted magical being she is.
