Imagine having 6 studio albums, more than 200 unreleased songs, several soundtrack themes and collabs, yet sticking to the same 15 songs for nearly 4 years now. Imagine opening your NFR tour with the summer-festivals set. Imagine ghosting Ultraviolence, Honeymoon and now also NFR. Fuck. If I've paid for last night's concert, I think that I would be cutting my testicles off in this moment.

I am pretty happy with the setlist. I have never seen her live, so I am happy listening to anything. Ride is my favourite so I am v excited about that. Wish there was more NFR songs on there, but I think in general I just wish she would sing for like 3+ hours. Lol. I wonder if it will change at all before I see her in Los Angeles. I know she said she has friends coming to that one, I wish she would just leave it as the duets because I love TNC and CH.

I don't know why are we acting like this is brand new information. Lana has never made a secret of the fact that she does not like performing and touring. It's not her forte, she loves being in the studio the rest is just things she has to do because it comes with the job.
Throwback to this 2011 interview just after she blew up, even back then she was like "aw damn I need to go on tour" (1:08) not "yay there is demand for me to go on tour"

I don't really have any opinion on the setlist, but who cares about TNC when Chelsea Hotel #2 exists?

The chemistry, delivery, embodiment and synergy between them in this piece is stunning. She sounds beautiful and confident, and clearly loves the song (also no need for any vocal tracks). It's like the piece she was born to sing! Very happy and taken with this performance and it would have been very special to hear live.
 
I hope one day there is a lil release where they do a studio recording together . . . maybe in 10 years on 'Noir: The Best of Lana del Rey'

Apart from Video Games, Blue Jeans and - occasionally - Summertime Sadness she should not do ANY BtD songs anymore. Born To Die is a great song but her live performances are meh and while the live arrangement of OTTR is cool, she was never actually managing to SING it in full.
 
The medley was a cute idea but it's old now and she should sing sone full songs instead.
Why not do West Coast and MTWBT instead?
 
Having Cherry and WM on the set list is not actually a problem sinxe they are so short.
 
The rest of the setlist on a tour called "The Norman F*cking Rockwell Tour" should be from NFR though - Cinnamon, FIILY, The Greatest, California, HTD, HIAB ... so many possibilities and she choses Doin Tine with a full playback

let's be real the weakest song is How To Disappear but even that is a very good song

Honestly, I do not love this album - definitely my least favourite besides Paradise, both Honeymoon covers are her worst album covers too. I don't like the fuzz vocal reverb on songs like Religion I feel like they really hold the songs back. Freak, Art Deco, High By The Beach and Music To Watch Boys To are amongst my least favourite Lana songs ever. All the photoshoots sucked too. And she is just a dumbass for repurposing the most beautiful and fitting footage for the Ultraviolence era for FREAK... WTF. The video is kind of good just for how good she looks and the settings and everything, so imagine how good the actual video for Ultraviolence was. Like I'm guessing she was singing the lyrics in the original video so the Freak video is literally scraps of footage that weren't going to make up the bulk of the video...
 
However, on a positive note, I will say that one thing that stands out about all of the songs are how good the bridges of every song are. She said in an interview before how she and Rick specifically loved to work on crafting bridges because they thought they were a dying thing in popular music. Also the High By The Beach video really was fun and unexpected and looking back it was the first introduction to a lighter side of herself that she shared with us, that later naturally led to the first line on her future album being "God damn manchild, you fucked me so good that I almost said I love you" and song titles like Venice Bitch.
 
Top 5 songs for me are Terrence Loves You, God Knows I Tried, Swan Song, The Blackest Day and Honeymoon.
