I don’t wanna start with the looks thing again cause I don’t want to lure in any ear specialists but can someone explain to me why she looks different? Is it just cause she’s getting her lips pumped a different way? I still think she looks cute just different and idk if it’s just me or if I can’t exactly point out what’s different

i agree with rorman, like this is a woman with tonnes of unreleased tracks because they clearly weren't 'good enough' (granted i realise the record labels could have been in part responsible for this) but given she's so tetchy about NFR and there's no logistic reason she hasn't released it she's clearly a perfectionist who has to feel a record is good enough. as she said in that interview she did "if the mixing takes 8 months, it takes 8 months" that's not someone who'd release something they weren't happy with, despite the fact i do drag her a lot and i admit to this lol

I am really hoping and praying to every deity ever conceived that all this silence has just been her wanting to take a break for half a year and as soon as festival shows start (i.e. HAVING TO DO WORK AGAIN) everything will start back up.

Random but I just started reading On the Road by Jack Kerouac and you can definitely see how much influence it had on Lana’s work/writing

 

Just from the way he describes America and “being free.”

Her earlier stuff is exactly something I would expect from someone that was inspired by this book.

I think if Lana truly hates paradise its because she isnt fond of her past self and whatever she was doing during that time period. I notice in the videos of her performing Gods and Monsters during lfl tour, she doesnt seem to like the “Gods dead” line much, and some of the others like “headed towards a fuckdd up holiday” she performs it rly lighthearted and “fun”  as if shes doing it solely for the fans, no deep emotion for it. She probably doesnt resonate anymore with alot of what paradise used to mean for her. 

 

This happens to so many artists, because your art and music reflects your current life and struggles. Look at Marina towards electra heart lol.
