Comfortably Numb refers to the Pink Floyd song, and Lithium refers to the Nirvana song. I think that whole verse refers to how she coped with her home life and the music she listened to would influence her own songwriting.

I think it’s “So I ended up awkward but sweet, later then hospitals”

meaning after the abuse by her mother she had to later go to a hospital but eventually she landed on her feet.

This song is so strong lyrically. I feel like it was a poet turned into a song. It truly mesmerized me. "I'll be like a wildflower I live on sheer willpower" 

 

Also the instrumental of the last chorus reminds me so much of the beats of Heroin's "it's fucking hot wether !" bridge. Considering this song is channeling Heroin with hot weather lyrics, I'm loving it so much.
