Elliot's the villain in my eyes lol he's fully manipulative. They rlly went out to steal some white claws and then got mad Rue was drinking one in the backseat like why get alcohol in the first place & then get mad when Rue's drinking it like bsdjfh they rlly took an addict along w them to steal alcohol expecting her to just watch them 2 drink it like plss that was so weird.

 

Also they need to focus a little less on Cal like I really dont give a fuck about his internal struggles if they're not tying it in directly with the rest of the character like his backstory was very cute but it did Not need that big of a part in last episode. All it told me is that Marsha possibly got pregnant on purpose cause she noticed Cal was interested in his friend. For the rest what did we find out about him that we didn't already know... Him and his friend had a little thing that could never be official cause he knocked his girlfriend up like ok... very sad, but what now? It seems like they're trying to make us sympathize with him but that's just not gonna happen for me.

I had no idea why they suddenly got mad at Rue for drinking in the car. It's like getting McDonald's and being mad that someone started eating in the car. 

 

Your theory about Cal makes sense. When he admitted everything Marsha didn't seem surprised at all, she looked more like it was something she was fearing that one day it'll happen. Maybe she wasn't trying to trap him with a baby but rather heard rumors during the 25 years of their marriage. Tbh I had no simpathy for him, he was acting like a lunatic. There's no excuse for pissing in the foyer and flashing to his kids. Why even stay married for so long if you're gay af? My gay friend supports straight marriages for the sake of hiding sexuality so here's Carl's target audience.

There was a scene during Cal's backstory where you see Marsha looking suspicious when she sees Cal and Derek having a little interaction. I think they def threw that in there to show that she knew from the beginning. Probs also ties in with Nate and how he got bad traits from both parents.

Also Jules was truly something else .. why did she cheat on Rue again , even when she was in the same house with her ? I get that Rue is in a really bad state and that has poisoned their relationship but like ..

This was the first episode I felt so engaged in in a long time. Like, the scene with Rue in the church was one of the best ones that the show as done in a while. Rue should really stay single until she's in a better place. I feel like she isn't even attracted to Jules but thought she was because they're so close emotionally. It's like those co-dependent relationships where people get together to heal each other. Zendaya and Hunter have zero chemistry.

Why is not liking a trans character transphobic? Unless they're literally saying transphobic stuff then it's wrong. I don't like Jules personality since the beginning but I have nothing against Hunter and transgenderism. I'm not even a big fan of Rue but I love Zendaya. Rue is such a monotone and a boring character in season 2. You're a drug addict? Okay, we get it, gives us something new? I always get so bored when they appear on the screen. The only time she was interesting is when she had withdrawals and was banging on the Fez's door.

there isn't anything against not liking the character it's really more the people who are saying it

most of the people hating on jules seem to be straight white people so it makes them seem more transphobic than a queer person critiquing the same character

 

also not saying that straight white people are transphobic it's just more perspective 

 

also you can like a character but not necessarily agree with their actions i think jules is an interesting character even if she's not morally the best (rue is very boring though that i can agree with)

i loved jules during season 1, i was defending her when she left rue at the train station cause everyone was pissed about that, but the way she's been this season is awful.. it's not even a dependency issue. she was throwing a fit over rue being friends with elliot because she was jealous only to end up cheating on rue with him.. then elliot and her gave rue a beer and got mad when she was drinking it?? left her in the middle of the road at midnight then turned off her phone so they could fuck without interruption. rue isn't any better, they're both horrible for each other but jules is giving sociopath.

while i was watching the frist episode i was thinking the whole time "just go back to the city girl" 

but i agree that she's not perfect, not a villain but definitely not perfect. i feel she's lacking some self control

someone mentioned in an interview about a year ago that sam had already had a 3rd season planned out, good to know it's happening for sure. there is so much mess going on in this season so far that they really need another season to finish every storyline lmao
