I don’t think the September date means anything, necessarily, other than about the production time - a lot of her 7 inch vinyl releases had release dates way in advance. Candy Necklace had a fall release date even though it was available to order in the summer.

I don't know how I really feel about the song in general. Personnally I'm not that much about Quavo's Autotuned vocals but the vibe is cool. I found the talked part at the end kinda chessy and unnatural, especially when they lipsync it in the video.

The song and video have Lana's stamp all over them, but still it's on Quavo's channels so I guess Lana is considered a guest unless the song end up on both artist's albums. Are they on the same label ?

i LOVED the music video. so simple, summery, and sexy. the song is amazing too. i havent listened to rap in awhile so Quavos part will need to grow on me but lana was heavenly

It’s cute - I can see the appeal of the song, Lana sounds wonderful, the bridge is absolutely top notch, but I’m not a fan of Queso’s voice tbh. I think Groupie Love and Summer Bummer were far superior imho but I’ll probably listen again just for the heavenly bridge
