amazing song, really captivating. really well written, speaking about compulsory heterosexuality and being heartbroken about that person you love is faking reality. one of the best LGBTQIA+ songs in decade.

 

Album of the Year: BRAT

no explain iconic, change the world, change the lives. it isn't only an album. it's a lifestyle and state of mind. my album of summer 2024 

 

Song of the Year: Die With A Smile

this is a type of song we didn't heard in ages. beautiful, classic, power ballad with people who entering to stage and starting singing. they aren't afraid to use their vocal abilities and they are making listener feeling good after listening and giving mind "talented people with high voice still exist".

 

Best New Artist: Teddy Swims/Benson Boone

i don't want to give a BNA curse to RAYE, Chapell, Doechii or Sabrina so i'm going curse men with only one hit (twinks needs a girl team with redhead lesbian, blondie and baddies)

basically whole album is filled by hits, catchy replay value pop songs or moving ballads mixed with artsy theatre vibe.

ROTY:

I'm rooting for Charli in every category but for this one I def think Good Luck, Babe! is deserving. It'll probs go to Billie tho, which wouldn't be undeserving, BIRDS OF A FEATHER was good. I could also see the pop votes being split resulting in Kendrick winning.

 

AOTY:

BRAT should win hands down. I think Beyoncé will take it tho. It'll probs be between Beyoncé and Billie with Beyoncé edging her out by a bit cause of Jay-z's stunt last year. I think Beyoncé should've won AOTY several times by now and it's insane that she hasn't already, so I could see her getting this as a way of them making it up to her lmao. I actually really liked all 3 of those albums but it should definitely go to BRAT. And if BRAT doesn't win I hope Taylor does cause the response to that would be really funny and it would immediately invaildate Charli not winning cause that album obviously does not deserve to win AOTY.

 

SOTY:

Die With A Smile it's no competition be serious

 

Best pop/duo/group performance:

Die With A Smile is taking this too lol. Charli should've submitted Girl so confusing featuring Lorde but Billie's a grammy darling and Guess was big so I get why they went for that. But either way Die With A Smile would win.

 

Best New Artist:

Chappell Roan should win. Sabrina being in here after 6 albums is silly but I'm rooting for her too cause Short N Sweet was real cute. Imagine if it goes to like Shaboozey or whoever... lmao I can actually see that happening cause the Chappell/Sabrina votes will be split

 

Pop Solo Performance:

Apple should win! But Billie's taking this I fear...

 

Best Pop Vocal Album:
Billie is winning. Ariana should win. Chappell winning would be cute. Looking back at the AOTY noms it's actually insane Eternal Sunshine did not get nominated. But the Grammys never really liked her. She'll win best supporting actress at the oscars tho so she'll be fine.

 

Best Alternative Music Album:

Rooting for Clairo! Charm is one of my fav albums released last year. Gonna be honest I've barely listened to that new St. Vincent album since the week it dropped even though I actually really liked it lol.. I kinda forgot about it. That Brittany Howard album was good too.

 

Rooting for SZA Saturn in the R&B categories. The R&B noms are kinda weak this year. Muni Long, Chris Brown and corny Jhené Aiko? Lol I guess...

 

Country Solo Performance:

I actually dgaf about the country categories but I just wanted to point out that they really submitted the 1 song I do not like at all from the new Kacey album 

 

Best Country Duo Performance:

Actually I do gaf about the country categories I'm rooting for Beyoncé and Miley yas gawddd.

 

I think Charli has the biggest shot at winning the dance pop recording and dance/electronic album categories. I don't think she'll go home empty handed like Lana does every time she attends. She does have a song about getting snubbed at the Grammys and committing a terrorist attack as the closing track on the brat deluxe tho so her not winning anything would be kinda poetic. I hope they don't put my girl on a watchlist after she pulls some Al-Qaeda shit in her performance tonight...

I was just going to mention this when I saw this thread. I was in the middle of a jungle safari at my friend’s wedding with a shitty Internet connection and on top of that it started to rain. It was cold but I was fuming with rage then went into a spiral of sadness.
