All I would like are 2-3 quality LDR songs that have the magic of old, if not their style or production. Something that has the freshness and craft, say, of Bel Air or Wait For Life. I did like Fishtails, but it seemed like an unconscious remake/retread of Tulsa Jesus Freak. And for me, both of those songs seem like songs she might have thought up while walking to the mall or doing the laundry. Wait For Life, hell yes! It's such a beautiful bittersweet song, sounds organic yet so cinematic. I definitely hope there is at least one song on The Right Person Will Stay, which has vibes akin to this song.

For me, it's an overlooked Lana classic, and one of the last times we saw that particular persona. Very cinematic, I agree, and it could have been such a huge summer hit in decades past—I can see an entire stadium swaying their arms to the refrain in the rain, singing, But I can't let you in/And I can't keep you out/I wait for life to win/But it never comes around---and the Feel like I'm falling apart is so great too. It's poignant but majestic, two qualities not often found together.

I love acoustic, simple Lana but I do wish she’d give us something a tad rockier.

Hopefully, it will reappear on a career retrospective at some point and find a worldwide audience. I wish she'd work with Haynie again.
jakoblvd 1,976 Posted Sunday at 03:55 PM Just realized to we will most likely get a new song starting with «the» with the title track joining «the greatest» and «the blackest day» which are both top 10 lana songs in my opinion, so im seated.

They were but the movie was one of the worst so… Both Lana’s and Radiohead’s Spectre were rejected and both were way superior to what Sam Smith did

Sam Smith, I have no ear for whatsoever. Even if the film itself was bad, millions of people would have still seen it and so the song would have been brought to all their ears.
Future Jazz 9,668 Posted Sunday at 05:33 PM i don’t think anything was scrapped, it seems like lana is following the plan she had in november, insiders are often either unreliable or trolling. also she just mentioned her ‘new songs’ meaning songs, most like a whole album, are going to be released

SalvaWHORE 35,185 Posted Sunday at 05:52 PM i just can't comprehend why y'all act like Lana is releasing the most disastrous music everytime some insiders come out and say some shit - every single era, before the actual rollout even happen. It is so tired. Yes, insiders spilling shit can be fun and keep our threads popping but ffs can we stop caring about their opinions on the actual music? Like it's not Lana's artistry being set backwards anytime or whatever it is just because these so-called insiders call something "boring", "uninspired" or "snoozefest"? I think yall forgot them being insiders doesnt make their opinion any more valid, just because they have the privilege to access these information before anyone else, doesn't make their taste legit because NO ONE LISTEN TO THESE SONGS BUT THEM AT THE MOMENT. And yall forgot we know how to form our own opinion and we have our own taste too. we are all stanning Lana in this bitch, we all listen to her music, we all follow her career journey more than 5 - 10 years now, we all listen to everything she ever released to her unreleased stuff, I believe our final opinion matter and our experience with the music shouldnt be determined by any "insider" who gets to hear shit before we do. That's why we shouldnt be worried if this insider call this song boring, or this insider think this album is a snoozefest, yall be giving these people too much attention and that really affects your mentality and how we enjoy Lana in the first place. It is sad. ...and then years later, looking back to that particular era, yall will be praising it and spamming "justice for abcxyz", it was Honeymoon, it was NFR, it was Chemtrails, and now it's going to be TRPWS. Yall be switching up after that pitchfork article with a red circle and a sharp 9.0 drops. 28 Quote @WHORE OF TROPICO ⇨ @SALVAWHORE
