I’m a BIT nervous bc the 2 other times Lana gave us a non-Friday album release date were:

- Chemtrails Over The Country Club (Sept. 5th, 2020, a Saturday)

- Rock Candy Sweet (June 1st, 2021, a Tuesday)

And both got moved/pushed back.

What a gorgeous title. "The right person will stay" is such a beautiful thing to hear from someone who has written so many forlorn & hopeless lyrics.

 

As for Lasso... I really have a strong feeling that it had a lot of overlap with the American Standards & Classics cover album. I hope more covers other than Take Me Home Country Roads see the light of day, just not on The Right Person Will Stay. I was obsessed with her singing All I Have to Do Is Dream by the Everly Brothers on Met Gala night. I'd love to see a proper, full cover album that also doesn't mess with her regular album cycles... a girl can dream

With a little bit more effort, this could've been a beautiful side profile portrait like the ones they used to have back in the day. And if you're gonna go sepia, go full sepia, not the half ass tone that this is

It looks like Chunk put a B & W photo into Photoshop, put a sepia layer over the top and then Lana said "tone it doen" so she set it to 30% and said "done!". It is neither here nor there and I hate it

I'm sorry but fuck it's so frustrating

It's giving B-side cassette tape vibes and not in a good way

No this will not grow on me because the photo itself isn't good
