It’s better than the OG. Still not top tier to me, but it’s cute (sorry if I sound negative: I relistened to all of her albums yesterday, and man did I feel the “drop” when I got to Solar Power. Not that it’s a bad album, but I prefer Lorde with upbeats and well, SP doesn’t offer much in that regard)

I hope we can get an album that's a bit less cringy when it comes to lyrics. I like her music but her always going 100% narcissist and never coming off her high horse is so annoying.

 

The woman literally published a song called "Hold No Grudge" and sings about people "talking shit about old friends" with contempt when at least 80% of the tracks on Solar Power are her singing about how she is better and wiser and braver and more aware than anyone else and how everyone should basically be ashamed of not being as gorg as she is.
