I know that some of the diehard fans tend to feel some type of way about people who think Born To Die is Lana's best album, but screw it I still think it's her best work. It offered Lana's essence distilled in pop form. It was a revolutionary album that pushed the pop landscape in the early 2010s. It was also the album that's closest to my heart since I listened to it during the most tumultuous parts of my formative years. 
 
I'm always gonna be a pop fan first and foremost, so Born To Die truly does something to me whenever I play that album. It's a no-skip album for me, and it's her best work imo. 

Ultraviolence has the most skips for me. I don't like Money Power Glory, The Other Woman, Black Beauty, Guns and Roses, Old Money or Flipside. My least favorite album bc of the skips. But I'm obsessed with the other tracks on it.

I'm just going to say that the Best American Record demo lyrics are superior by far. I'm a sucker for unreleased music but I rarely prefer it over released stuff, unless a demo is better to me (like BAR).

I can’t believe it is (technically) release day. Only a few more hours till we get to hear this album officially. I’ve had so much fun in the pre pre release and the post release, it is so nice having people to talk about Lana with who actually care

the leaks were demos? so I haven't heard the album yet you're saying?

idc, hate me for saying it but her piano ballads are usually snoozes that I skip and have no natural desire to come back to. Beautiful is perhaps the worst offender on BB but I also skip Cherry Blossom, Sweet Carolina, VFR, Arcadia and Blue Banisters  they’re boring sorry. Just MY opinion. Give me something with a pulse mother! 
 
I like the title track for Did You Know.. but I personally need the rest of the album to have more variety (louder drums, guitars, prominent bass, etc.)

I’m actually relieved it’s not a out-of-nowhere pussy-popping rap song which probably means the album is most likely cohesive sonically!
