i do miss the demo though. i played it so much and it had such a 60’s vibe to it. i do love the album version too, luckily i have both. my boyfriend likes it too which means he can stay. thunder (demo) wouldn’t have fit on any album of lanas other than TLSP one without it being changed so i guess i’m glad she changed it.

I think it has a double meaning.
Clearly, the guy she sings about has commitment issues.
He "rolls like thunder" when he's drunk, at a party, with his friends - but privately he's indecisive af, can't just enjoy a good time and always longs for something more, never seeing what he already has at his very hands ("you're not satisfied at the rainbow's end").
Going by this and the timeline of the songs creation, I could see Thunder referring to the same man she sings about in Norman F*cking Rockwell (the song) and Best American Record (the demo).
So "Just do it, don't wait" could mean that she wants him to stop overthinking things, appreciate all the good in his life before they are gone again, give in to their love affair and be happy together without any second thoughts. ("If you're on fire - just keep burning")
However, she also seems to be tired of his indecisiveness, him not committing to their relationship and always being on the fence.  She's got not time for this kind of games and wants to know if it's a "yes" or a "no" from him. And if he's not making up his mind anytime soon, he can just aswell leave. ("If hello just means goodbye then baby better walk away")
So "just do it" could also mean that if he's not planning to actually have a relationship with her, he should just tell her so they can end this charade and she can move on with her life.
Basically it's "Just do it, don't wait. 'Cause I don't wanna wait"  as in  JUST F*CKING DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT ALREADY!

when it was a single, i wasn't obsessed with wildflower wildfire but after listening to the album over 168 times collectively(according to my last.fm) it has easily become one of my favorite songs! i'm so happy with this album, its really in my top three lana albums now

Twin!! My two favourite songs at the moment (and the title track has been on repeat since May). VFR deserves more love, the songwriting is so good!

10 seconds into the video I just turned it off and gave him a thumbs down.

He doesn't like female artists. He destroyed Fiona "Bolt cutters" album.

That peenie head basically reviews female albums for the clicks and monitize money he gets from the video. He dislikes Lana's voice and he's reviewing her albums? What's the point?

My issue with Fantano is that he likes to pretend that he doesn't have an obvious bias against Lana. When she first got big, he full on said that he thinks she's only famous because of the way she looks. I could give less of a shit about what he thinks of the music but that just really bugs me that he said that.

But anyways, it rained where I'm at all day, so I went for a drive through the autumn leaves and the rain while listening to the album. It was stunning. Lana picked the perfect release date for BB. I can't imagine it being released during any other season.

Glamourising tf out of my life rn.. I’m currently filming at a hotel for a movie and they just broke me for a moment because I was too seen in the last shot, so I’m just dancing alone in a beautiful dress that I could never afford to purchase, in a hotel room that I could never afford to stay in, to Blue Banisters (which I purchased 9 copies of.. so that’s why I can’t afford anything else)
Thunder just hits different when you’re dancing alone on nothing but a Wednesday night hangover & good vibes x

Accidentally listened to the radio for a while today n went with it and I think part of what separates Lana’s music from pop radio music is that it’s infused w genuine emotion, and isnt afraid to be slow. It’s infused w nuance and is real rich w its cadences and isnt afraid to sound how it does. It has an original soul

the album’s on a tier of its own n im sure time’ll treat it well
