I don't know how far the work on the album has progressed, but winning or not winning a Grammy could have a big impact on the direction (and if not of this album then of the next one)

BAR was probably going to be 2nd single and the title track, she decided half way thru the mv shoot to scrap it. the weeknd collab probably finalized around that time and her label was probably much more interested in doing a high budget video for that. i imagine she wanted to use Love to launch everything and BAR as like the second single closer to the album, but when Love leaked early and the album wasn't really ready to be announced they couldn't really do the "big lead single" moment and wanted a weeknd track as the bigger moment to announce the album. but that album campaign changed like every week so who knows

I'd love something like Honeymoon again, that was her artistic peak imo

I understand why people would dislike the background singers but I like them. I love the vibe they bring

If I had it my way, the next album would have the sound of Candy Necklace, Judah Smith Interlude, Jon Batiste Interlude, and the parts we’ve heard of Zodiac. I’d love a really dark, psychedelic feel throughout like those tracks have. I love the vibes and instrumentals. I’d love like a gospel choir moment too. On top of that, I’d love sexy electronic vibes like Devil’s Paradise which Mike Dean produced for The Idol. With lyrics like Fishtail and Peppers, and Stargirl Interlude. Oh and of course I’d kill to have more songs with the vibe of A&W, both parts of that song are incredible. And I’d want very long songs, like each song have an average length of like 6-7 minutes.
