I know we all like to take the piss and hound her for music she’s promised and delayed continuously but it’s so discouraging to see how defeated/reserved she is nowadays. She’s admitted to playing her own part in her career’s decline but so much of her potential was also crushed by the machine, I can’t imagine what album we’d be on by now if she was in a more respectful deal that inspired in her even a little bit of confidence on the material she makes. I guess she just says the same things in interviews hoping to gain back the little agency she’s been denied? Idk I hope people in here are at least a little more empathetic before downplaying her involvement in her own music or making fun of an addiction she’s already denied, she seems to need all the good will she can get at this stage. It’ll take a miracle to get this album out

The fact that nowadays I avoid to listen to Guardian because it hurts... one of her best songs and not released... 

It’s a side angle and she looks fine 💀 I honestly think she looks the healthiest she has ever done- I just don’t personally like many of her style choices but she likes them.

Just organizing what we already have from the Masochism era rn:
 

I’ll never understand why Pretty Dull and Can’t Say No to Myself weren’t on NTMT. They are perfection and would go so perfectly on the album. My guess is that she was trying to keep the album balanced between pop and grunge and it might skew the album more grunge. Or she planned to save them to release on the B sides which of course never happened 

the fact that heated is a drake scrap... and all up in your mind is an ag cook/bloodpop song... this album is like a fever dream

So far "hold the girl" has me being held back a little bit, idk i'm just not feeling this era so far. There's something lacking from miss Rina Sawayama
