that said, here are some absolutely never going to happen concepts I think fascinating to dream about for ldr9
 
Nevada Alaska Hawaii- May Jailer and Lizzy Grant have taken over Lanas body and sound in this glitzy americana kitschy follow up to AKA and Sirens. Slightly off key guitar, haunting operatic crooning and belting.Sunlit noir and joyous winter. Binaural beats and psychedelic bass. Clove cigarettes, the turning of the year. Northern lights, coral reefs, and desert smoke. Lana as Jack Kerouac On The Road. Nikki Lane as her Dean. Country in spirit but not really and sound. Transcendent global and slightly lofi. Sounds like a transmission through radio from a parallel universe. Slightly distant but ethereal and moving.

I think we should be proud of the fact the Lana is still among the other female artists in this list after her 8th album. Especially  since she doesn’t have number one hits, heavy promo or even social media to let people know she has an album out. 
 
 

Anyways, and now I’m being serious, I don’t care about sales that much. I was just asking & wanting to have some chat with you, especially cuz marketing is a field that captures my attention (also in my professional life). But in the end it’s really not relevant! Not at all! Of course I’m happy if Lana has recognition because I do believe that she is tremendously underrated, and it’s fun to break records, but at the same time I know that what matters is the music… and about that, my friends, we ALWAYS win. It is a very superficial, post-modern liquid behavior to associate one’s talent with their commercial success. It is so, so dumb. I would always rather have commercial flops but excellent albums than the contrary.

We are not bashing them, we are just pointing out the immaturity of (some of) their fanbase, and spilling facts about Lana's importance in the musical industry - which is merely objective. 
 
Now, having said that, 
 

Lana literally walked so L*rde and H*lsey and B*llie and all these other flops could run… and they STILL tripped over. Not a single female contemporary artist is even in the same league as Lana. 

Other fan bases making fun of Lana for doing only 30k when their fave is struggling on there 3rd album.  I’d like to see Halsey or Billie do next to zero promotion, disable social media still sell 200k on an 8th album…them girls would drop fast. 

Same, I really thought Lana had lost me after COCC but then she came back and released her best album

Also Blue Banisters (the track) didn't really resonate with me much when it was released with Textbook and Wildfire Wildflower but for some reason in the context of the album it's become a favourite? It's just resonating with me so hard I think especially since I lost a few close friendships over the pandemic and lockdowns and really don't feel like I have many close female friendships anymore. BB really makes me yearn for that again
