The best thing she did was get out of social media... She looks happy and flawless... social media is really that toxic

If this is THE revenge record, it better serve more chaotic/camp/psychedelic/electronica/weird vibes. I'm thinking of an album consists of tracks like In My Feelings, Heroin (L4L), Venice Bitch (NFR!), Black Bathing Suit, Dealer (BB) & White Dress (COCC).

So I just ordered the yellow vinyl from the French store to ship to the US.  Do you guys think there’s any chance I’ll ever receive it? 🙃

I am honestly floored by this album, I loved NFR and Chemtrails, however found myself returning to Chemtrails a lot more as an album. But this project coming just months later and being even better makes me so excited for whatever is next from her!

Is this a thing? Here in the UK, digital, CDs, cassettes and the black vinyl were available on release day...

I posted about in the Text Book thread, but I'm too floored by it for it to go unnoticed lol.

Text Book is actually far more layered than I initially realized. There is the obvious distinction between herself and Sean in terms of where they may stand on certain sociopolitical and/or human rights issues that is used as a backdrop for the dissolution of their relationship – but I am realizing that there are nods to the karmic family lineage that she keeps referring to peppered throughout the song. I think there is a level of genealogical ill situated in a historical and racial context that underlies this song, too (think about the track’s declaration to “rewrite history”, nods to the Black Lives Matter movement, and references to "Ol' Man River").

It is brilliant how she manages to create a lyrical and thematic interplay between the end of a committed relationship, reparations of historical family karma, public infamy, and strained parental relations. This is one of her best – if not the best – written songs. I think it is absolutely one of my top 5 favourites from her ever.

I actually feel the exact opposite! in my opinion, the songs of COCC flow so well together, it's a complete and satisfying journey (with little tracklist re-arrangements, of course). BB has great singular moments, but I honestly can't look at BB and see a good, cohesive experience

Ideally: Go to Target first thing in the morning and buy multiple CD copies. Order an iced matcha latte from Starbucks and sit in my car for a bit while admiring the booklet. Get a room at the Hilton hotel for the night with a balcony. Spend some time sitting there listening to the album while glazing at the views, sipping coffee, and listening to each lyric carefully as I try to put together the puzzle pieces of Lana's story and how far she has come. Fall in love with her music all over again . Take a hike in the mountains nearby as I reminisce on how amazing the album was and take some time to gather my thoughts on it. Later that night order room service while watching her performance on TV.  Afterwards listen to the album all over again but this time in the hot tub under the pale moonlight with the stars glistening in the reflection of the water

Reality: Listen to the album on Spotify at midnight, post on Lanaboards until 3 AM, wake up at 8 AM, snooze my alarm until 9 AM, rush to work and think about going to Target all day as I sit through boring meetings. Finally get my hands on a copy at like 8 PM because traffic is awful in my town and I have to work overtime that day

I kinda vibe to this honestly, esp the doubling in the chorus, but I’m already a shameless LMLYLAW fan. Def better than that demo

I am constantly amazed with this woman. Lana Del Rey is a name that will be in history books of music. I’m listening to UV right now and this album went #1, BTD holds the record for longest debut record on BB, she’s had 5 number 1 albums in the UK, all her records have been top 3 in the US, peaked at #2 on the hot 100… she continues to grow and grow and grow and through her work she identifies this growth. She’s such a fucking icon! We have built the best relationship through her music with her and UGF! I cannot get over Arcadia… she deserves such praise and will get it.

Lmao I’m sorry but no. Whatever the reason was, he’s still not someone who you should show support, being bipolar is no excuse and backing up a homophobe and an alleged rapist…. Again, I’m sorry but no. Nothing justifies this lmao
Also, afaik, Kim worked w Trump to do some good shit. Like I don’t know the full details but didn’t she help pardon some prisoners, or sumn like that? He was the President at that time, if she wanted to do it, she couldn’t have done it by herself, she had to work w him or else nothing would happen.
