Lana has missed out on the 5 cents I would’ve made her for streaming Yes to Heaven like 10 times over the last 24 hours. For some reason it’s just vibing with me hard rn.

Honestly, yes. I think it's because Kintsugi has more of a typical song structure, is more of a typical piano ballad, and just overall feels gentler and sweeter sonically if that makes sense? It makes it easier to tune out the lyrics and just enjoy the melody.
On Fingertips, I think the unusual, wandering structure along with the vocals and strings just makes it harder to ignore and have it on in the background. It feels more demanding to me.

appreciation post for summertime sadness, i feel like it's beauty & it's depth is overshadowed by the fact that it's arguably her most popular & well-known song, as well as the remix, however i think it's very beautiful, it's a staple in her discography and it's filled with lana del rey's unique vision of nostalgic & americana, a red dress, pale moonlight, 60's style hair, summertime, driving fast... it's also undeniably melacholic, which is a very important element of lana's musical style, there's another layer of melancholia with the theme of death, specifically suicide, which is highlighted by the music video, also, the production/sound of the song itself is enchanting, it's very warm, rosy, gloomy, a little hazy... and the cheering/shouting samples add such a unique touch... this song is honestly angelic, yet in such a dark way... idk, i just really like this song <3

“It’s a beautiful life, remember that too, for me” is one of my favorite lines of the album. Having that be the last line of “The Grants” after all of the memories she lists out throughout the rest of the song is just devastating.

After a month I can confirm this album has infinitely more replay value than Chemtrails or Blue Banisters (to me)

like I actually listen to it in full (ok I skip kintsugi and fingertips but still)

I really think this album is meant to be listened to in whole, but if I'm being picky, I'm most likely to skip:
Fingertips Grandfather Let the Light In Margaret I love Fingertips, but it can be draining to listen to if you're not prepared for it. Grandfather/LTLI/Margaret has always been my least favorite part of the album and it's kinda become more of a drag for me the more I listen to it. I don't dislike it, but I find myself more and more just wanting to get it over with so I can get to Fishtail/Peppers/Taco Truck.
