So I’ve been thinking this for a little while and quite honestly hesitated saying anything until tonight. Negating her previous records’ artistic success is, IMHO, blasphemy because her sonic direction, desires, and delivery (triple DD if you will ) represents who she is - perhaps who she was at the time. I really do believe her intrinsic identity embedded to her records is representative of what she went through, what she thought, what she felt, what she experienced at the time. And dismissing the production because of the simplicity and the instrumental purity of basic, melodic layering simply because the people can’t bop their b(p)ussies to it is, to me, ultimately sad. We seem to forget she has the ultimate say in her releases and, therefore, things sound the way they sound because she wanted it that way. Sure, she might challenge her producer(s) to do something outside of their customs or their conventions. But those projects were ultimately disseminated to the masses...under her direction. And I believe the same will be true of her upcoming albums - but it’s futile to dismiss the legitimacy and the value of her work because you can’t twerk to it. If that’s not your style move on...but I seem to somehow always find a way to relate to it. Perhaps because we’re ~somewhat~ similar in age. But I rest in the fact that her lyricism stays true to herself. I find a lot of calm in this. Excuse my rant...it’s not very often I express my buried thoughts. 

I was really bored so I decided to reunite songs that for me made some sense sonically, and then I tried imagine as an era of lana! And i'll be updating moodboards and new details of this ''era'' here. Hope you enjoy

So when I hear songs like,
''Thunder'' and ''Wild One'' the presence of the electric guitars always made me feel some depth like physically and metaphorically and the riffs of songs like ''I Don't Wanna Go'' reminds me of a scenery like a dark forest with fog. Bringing all those thoughts, I came with a concept of Lana's wild side, something really instinctive and mysterious. The love stories of the mixtape are very intense and for me fells like a hunt. So all these elements brings one forest alive, her own forest.

I know it's premature but imagine the merch potentials if she does make a dreamy LA-is-hot-and-i'm-tripping-hard psychedelic album     

being born and raised a man in a man dominated culture immediately gives you "something". no man has "nothing". if you are a man, you have power. maybe not a lot, but it is there. a man may not recognize it in himself, but it's guaranteed other people recognize it.

I can't understand the hate for HTD, and I have to believe it's because of how different it is. I would understand if they were Roachella cheap trap beats, but I get serious Tori Amos/Broken Social Scene vibes from some of those instruments.

No offence but I'm bored of and getting tired of the same negativity being said over and over again in this thread  I know we're all thirsty and the news are minimal and we're bored but what's the point of bashing what you don't like about her work a million times. Celebrate what you love instead idk. And I'm very surprised at the amount of likes the negative posts are getting as well
