I bought the lilac shirt but I’m not feeling the pill case nor the whistle. I bought the necklace, all the alt vinyl, and two lighters but I just don’t have a use for either of the new brass items.
 
I truly feel like some more merch will come out near or on release date. Either a vinyl boxset or otherwise. My thought process is that if I decide in a few weeks I want either item I know the UK store will probably still have them in stock if it’s still not up on the US site.

actually I was just watching Teenage Diary of a Girl and wondering… what went wrong?

I'm not against her singing about her family, I think a lot of interesting n introspective stuff can come out of that, but I'm not a fan of her directly naming people from her personal life in her songs. It usually sounds clunky. I guess we'll have to wait and see how those lyrics will sound in the context of the songs.

something that makes me really happy is that i can tell lana loves this album. dancing to her own song, tiktok active, and wearing her merch multiple times. idk. something about this era feels different and fresh and it's super nice to see her enjoying it! 

Still having meltdowns about Lana writing about her family? Get a life. We knew this album was mostly about memories with her friends and family for months now. She's also been writing about her family since the start of her career

if we can bag a doin' time / dealer type of streaming success then the album will have LEGS for sure. let's manifest that shall we. 

idk if this has already been talked ab  but the soda pop songs somewhat thematically overlap

& as another user recently pointed out, the unreleased song Coca Cola has the lyric "When we get high, Jimmy propose"
 
A&W: touches on loss of innocence/oversexualisation at an early age "I haven't done a cartwheel since I was 9" (brings that Lolita stuff to mind/older men taking advantage of younger girls n women) & an affair too "still lookin like a side piece at 33" "Slips out the back door to talk to me"
the whole Jimmy bit def sounds like an unhealthy relationship of some sorts.. be it with a man, a substance, herself or all three tbh. It's dark to me

i know we spent sometime spectulating why she went with A&W and not just AW/American Whore or AW&J but this could be part of it... if not on purpose, still an interesting coincidence

The fact that she's wearing the merch must mean she really likes it/the album 
 
I don't think she's worn any of her own merch since LFL (and she designed that merch herself lol)

If she tours for this album, do you think she’ll bring her background singers w her?? I figured it might help her feel more comfortable if they serve as a distraction same as her dancers. But the mixing at her live shows is utterly HORRENDOUS. I’d be worried we wouldn’t be able to hear Lana over them

i actually think the title track is ridiculously catchy and i constantly find myself singing the pre-chorus and chorus, so i hope the other tracks of the record follow this route of combining wordy and poetic lyricism with genuinely catchy melodies as opposed to just one or the other!
