i'm russian so i decided to contact one of those russian stores (https://checkpoint.com.ru/katalog/katalog/muzyka/vinyl/lp/lana-del-rey-norman-fucking), the guy who answered seems pretty familiar with the situation, i guess he owns the store. i asked about the release date, he confirmed nfr's gonna drop on the 30th (info from universal) along with the vinyl on his site bc "it's a huge release for us". he said there's no more info about the album and mentioned lana  being lazy not sharing anything early with her previous albums. he guesses we'll see the cover in 2 weeks and he'll post the tracklist closer to the release date. forgot to ask about the ltd vinyl color    you can still guess and make it to 3000 pages here

Releasing songs a YEAR before the album, holding off on news for so long and being vague and also basically treating this era like shit so far- bad single covers, low quality music videos (dont @ me and say the VB video is a vibe, I get it but imagine 9 min of homemade/Chuck footage as opposed to the same footage looped for 9 mins)

Like... imagine if we don’t get an album trailer, a decent album cover, one decent music video....... at this point the album cover could literally be a selfie and the vinyl could be shitstain brown. I remember waiting for Tropico and how frustrating it was the lack of news about the release date and now it seems like it wasn't that bad

What if she just drops the album on streaming early August and then announces the pre-order for physical copies?
 
It seems stupid that the release date is August 30th (according to retailers) yet she still just teases next month? Like, surely by now you'd just say end of August or August 30th or whatever.
 
She likes lowkey and self-sabotage seems to be a thing this era, so I could see her being like "NFR is out now, thank you for being patient blah blah blah" on the 9th, then launching the pre-order with CD's and LP's coming late August. Miss Del Rey destroying her own chances of #1 or #2.

I would like the vinyl to be lilac and peach. I think it could look nice also as a swirl effect.

aw i’m sad i missed the vinyl color thing i would’ve wanted to include my sunset swirl anyways i’m not surprised she only said next month again and didn’t give a real date but it makes me wonder why?? she has to have a date picked out by now obviously, maybe she wants to be super low key or she wants to do something special bc this record does seem really special.. which also makes sense if she’s want to keep it low key and not draw a lot of attention like how honeymoon was really special and its release was really low key too. i’m so excited tho omg honestly i’m gonna love it no matter what it looks like idk why it already holds such a special place in my heart and i only listened to the snippets 5x max with very long time periods in between and i’ve held off on listening to mac/vb/hope a whole lot bc i wanna hear them in context of the album. even if she puts another selfie or grainy overexposed iphone pic of trees as the cover and makes the vinyl some color that totally doesn’t go i can tell i’m just gonna love it so much that i’ll wanna hug it/her and cry lmfao
 
also just had another idea omg bc of violet bent backwards over my ass what if the vinyl will be a pretty just before sunset at the beach blue (i’m visualizing that one pic from pams ig story where she said on set(?) and there was a grassy field and a pretty blue sky(? don’t even know if i’m remembering this right lol) and violet splashed and maybe a few hints of green or another floral/nature-y color ?? i can’t think of what it’s called but the pattern i’m thinking of is when it’s like throwing paint on something that’s spinning so it comes out from the center but is still obviously thrown on and kind of fuzzy/undefined but kinda stripy/dotted? in my head i’m imagining it mimicking a lavender field and having a much lighter purple like that too but idk

The vinyl is going to be made out of crushed LSD pills so everyone sees a different colour when they hold it close to their face 

I guarantee that even after all this time the vinyls won’t be ready and will be released 3 months after the release like LFLs
