I wonder if there's anyone (not journalists) who has followed her from her AKA days.

"The first time I was on the cover of US Rolling Stone, I couldn’t believe it but what’s more unbelievable is 11 years later to be on the cover of UK Rolling Stone. That’s unfathomable. I can’t actually even register it. It’s wild.” I love this woman so much  so proud of her

Re: BTD, I think she's just grown over the past 10 years. She's said in multiple interviews she loves the albums she makes, but it only makes sense that she would evolve in reflecting about them as time passes.

Re: BB. I'm gonna write a lot for a sec, so bear with me.

It felt so good to read her intention of what that album means to her, because I've always been sliiiiightly confused by it, in an endearing way. Like, it was basically a brand new album from her, and not a compilation album... but a handful of the tracks are old recordings, there are multiple producers, mixers - it's just a total hodge-podge of an album. I've always viewed it as this sort of explanatory, messy scrapbook of an album crafted by Lana where she mines and muddles her current state with parts of her past/history. To have clarity that she sees it as (sort of) Further Listening, or a companion album to her discography for a deeper dive, or even just "One For the Hardcore Fans" is really enlightening. It wasn't ever intended to be this perfect, tightly-focused pillar album in her discography... It's a stepping stone, supporting documents, a "defense", explanation.

Obviously, we were spoiled in 2021 despite everything going on and received two albums in one year, but I wonder if she considers Ocean Blvd to be the fully realized follow-up to Chemtrails after the side-detour that was BB (thinking of it as a map, I guess)?

Anyway. I love when she talks about her albums individually because it presents them in a new light for me, especially as she continues to develop her discography. Every album has its place, and we're lucky to stan an artist who gives so much of herself as Lana does.

Jack come get your girl! They really made so much sense together, but judging by his IG he doesn’t seem to be in the settle down phase Lana’s in.

But still, I’m rooting for them to make it work. A match made in…

Lana really cancelled Blue Banisters with saying she doesn't want ppl to listen.

NFR could def be inspired by him… Rumour also has it that she had a fling with Jonathan Wilson and that the title track is inspired by him 👀

I love interviews like this where when you’re reading it, it seems like you’re a fly on the wall listening in on a conversation between two friends - or maybe even joining them in a third chair placed around in a triangle. Amazing read - great questions asked by Hannah, and insightful responses given by Lana. I always love learning more about her personally with what she shares with us through lyrics, poetry, and interviews - even 11 years later, I’m still as interested as I was the very first day. She’s both enigmatic and pellucid at the same time. Love her x

I would cry, you know we’d drop all the $$$ buying every physical version of it

I love that she’s wearing a little braid there, quite definitely a reference to Fishtail. A man never came to braid her hair so she did it herself.

also, I don’t think I ever knew until reading this article that they changed born to die to be poppier right before release. I wish I could hear it in its original version that she first intended. it is annoying, like she said, that because of that switch by the label, it changed her public perception to be a pop artist with a manufactured persona versus a diaristic singer-songwriter with a pen name.

"Lana Del Rey had not felt enthusiastic for more than a decade."

So she hadn't felt enthusiastic while making the next 8 albums she released?(including Ocean Blvd?)
    interesting

In conclusion, LDR10 is going to be the best album on Earth cause she feels once again enthusiastic and changed for the betterThe world is not ready

I’m a longtime lurker who rarely posts but I just have to say I really loved this interview. It feels like the best interview that we’ve gotten in years. She really does seem more at peace and happier. I love her so much. That interview just felt like I was talking with a girlfriend. I love her recollections about life and love. So excited for the new album.

“Lana is boundaryless,” says Antonoff. “She’s reached a point in her work, which is really my favourite place to work from, where there’s nowhere to go but way out into the fucking wilderness artistically. Go chase radio? That’d be so stupid. Go chase trends? So stupid. She created all the trends. It’s a freeing place, if you can accept it. The only place to go is to be a leader.”

    LOVE YOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU JACK
