the timeframe when she released venice bitch was seriously so magical. and then she did the long interview / announced the album name. and now when i hear venice bitch it sends chills down my spine like it’s so summertime & golden and sparkling which is all transitory / gonna end. i PRAY LDR9 has a track that’s super transportive like venice bitch. pls mama del slay it’s just toooo good. pls do a interview and release a song with it ugh i’m thirsty if ur reading this lizzzygrant

Wow I have to say I fully disagree. To me UV seems like a very authentic album and I do believe she was in a dark place mentally around that time. And she seemed really angry somehow. At the critics, at Barrie, at that mysterious sickness she had for a while. Dan Auerbach said they fought a lot in the studio. I always thought that's what made her change the album to something so dark because she really felt that at the time. 
Interesting though how we all interpet her work so differently.
 
Anyways, I always love guitars. Acoustic guitars and screaming electric guitar solos. That's all I wish for (but since Rob is so active on the piano what are the chances though ). And nothing too political lyrically because I listen to music to escape into different worlds, not to be reminded of what's going on around me. Saying this because some here wished for LFL 2.0...pls no. I never listen to the political tracks.

surrealist + dreamlike! and yes, mulholland drive is just the best. also, justice for twin peaks: fire walk with me, i highly recommend it  and listen to star dream girl, one of my favourite songs 💖 
 
i am so excited she's been working with FJM (and david lynch by extension?) - as much as i loved NFR's topical context, i really hope she feels inspired by aesthetics again bc i've always loved when lana is escapist 

SO PUMPED that it’s secretly David Lynch  I was just saying earlier in the other thread that all the aesthetics for the album looks Lynchian (especially like episode 8 of the return 👀)

So well-said! Beautiful words as always. Nectar of the Gods even reflects on that tug-of-war within herself that seems to have been won in WW (choosing to be a “wildflower” over a “wildfire,” or a conscious detachment from the qualities embodied by her mother), but she later realizes is somewhat visceral upon indulgence in all things, including inspiration that this record carries (“I get wild and fucking crazy like the colour blue” “once I found my way, but now I am lost”). It’s poignant that it comes after the climax and sudden epiphany of WW that marks a shift in the record’s narrative (and her life, in that way). 
 
Every track on the entire record serves such an important purpose. She really is the greatest. 

i just don’t think fantano as a fat and ugly straight man is really the demographic for lana.. he’s never gonna get that feeling of sexyness and the vibe in general while listening to her music JUST GIVE UP

I just know Potato Fanta says mad shit about Lana like he's stuck in 2012 where it was the national sport for music writers to shit on Lana Del Rey.
 
On a more serious note, this guy just fundamentally does not understand Lana as an artist. He sorta became a fan of Lana overnight when she released 'NFR!' AKA her most digestible album (like most sycophant music writers have) and has been acting like it's the blueprint of her album ever since, but that's beside the point—this review was just seriously ridiculous. Mind you, this is the man that rated 'Born To Die' a 3/10 and 'Ultraviolence' a 2/10. 

He's literally only taken "seriously" because, for some obscure reason, he's like the only semi-famous music critic on YouTube?

I want the next album to be completely unhinged.  Give me an album full of wild vocals the normies can't take!
