On a positive note: somebody I follow posted these screenshots back from when she met Lana at work in the day of her concert in Portugal last year (the girl said she was really nice and that she was very happy that the concert was sold out, and they got a picture with her at Intimissimi but sadly not at her store). I honestly want to remember Lana like this. The fact that the singer in these photos is the same one that is in the middle of this drama gives me some hope that this will calm down and she can get back to a happy state of mind.

So excited for this.

Songs about heartbreak and being in love / wanting to be in love. Some songs will have a similar sound to NFR, plus it could be out around the same time of the year. Maybe she’ll go a bit crazier on the production of some songs? The last songs recorded for NFR had “heavier production”, as opposed to the first ones that were essentially piano ballads.
But hey, who knows if she won’t want to mix it up a bit or has already has?

At the end of the day, everyone has their opinion. If you want to disagree with her, you have the right to. If you think some of those artists she mentioned had it worse than her (which I can agree to some extent) then I fully support you. However, if you make this a racial thing you're just sick or you just want more drama. That post didn't have an ounce of racism. Not even a bit.
She could've chosen her words better, that I can 100% agree. But she chose to post it raw and it's still valid despite the quality of her words
Yes. If there were a somewhat of a debate I'd be on board. Like, people expressing their feelings, her listening and address it. However, people were just being toxic and hateful and she replied like that and I don't blame her.
Also, I loved her irony on "Thanks for the Karen comments tho. V helpful"

Not sure if it's important but she unfollowed Win Edwards,Honeymouns & Hillary Duff but yeah Hillary had some ?child porn? at least thats what I heard and this could be why Lana unfollowed her

yeah it would be really nice, we could have a quick, simple prerelease period this time, with 1 or 2 singles and a music video maybe, and then album out in September. but as long as there is no "evidence" to back this date up somehow, it feels pretty weightless for me. but i'm still excited

Okay this is a mess & a drama but I think that Lana needed to express all her feelings...like it is not good if you hiding your feelings and yeah now Lana kinda "exploded" but maybe that is what she needs to "heal" if you know what I mean...right now it is a mess but maybe she just needed this & it is her try to fight off the monsters that are still under her bed

I totally agree, although I never minded her brunette hair. The blonde is a fresh change though. She looks younger (although it isn't all the way blonde yet but it is def looking lighter).

So. as a recap. can we just get the facts straight? 

- she name dropped bc she liked those artists. she comments trying to better elaborate what she meant. 
- secondary post. She's got control of her story. if the women she mentioned don't wanna b associated its fine by her. 
- it seems like Ariana may have reached out. Ariana still follows her on insta. did she ever follow her back? 
- Lana and FKA never followed each other. 
- twitter running.
- someone deactivated their insta account bc they got put off w Lana. 
- there was a group chat, with still no cohesive/full screenshots of the conversation. 

points: 
- she's allowed to express herself. there are women that feel like they don't have a place in feminism because they might be overpowered by stronger women. 
- not racist, she actually loves the artists, and was probably looking for support. 
- she just wants to express herself and not feel like she's being turned into someone who's hysterical for wanting to do so. 
- there's a difference between knowing who Lana is on a personal basis, and being a fan. of flippin course, but just to reiterate. 

So. for those reading the thread regarding the previous happenings/ updates. is there anything else to add? if anyone wants to quote me, can we keep it more factually based rather than surmising? i think it'd be good to just try and get everyone who wants to get up to speed, up to speed w/o having to glean thru the 50ish pages if they didn't want to. 

@mods, is there a pinned post feature? Ur free to get whatever u think's objectively useful from this post and compile it into another so we don't end up having to echo each other on facts if that's cool

I’m mostly confused why she announced when the second poetry book is coming out before announcing when the first is coming out. Maybe closer to her album in the fall? Either way, I’m still looking forward to both.

Lana has just announced via instagram that she will be releasing a second poetry book titled "Behind the Iron Gates - Insights from an Institution" with publishing company Simon & Shuster with an aimed release of March 2021.
This book will follow her first poetry book that is also pending for release titled "Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass." She is still planning to donate proceeds from the book to Native American foundations as she announced a few months back. Our busy bee has also announced in the same initial post that she will be releasing her next album on September 5th.

I am genuinely curious if she will go back to being able to write about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship isn't perfect - I hope she does, it really would suck If she let the critics control her art. 

Hehehe she's acting like I do when drinking too much while angry, but less articulate and conniving not to speculate on her current circumstances that we don't know but God Bless the Broken Road or whatever

Also I LOVED what she wrote on the subject of her relationship with her mother. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb, and while I'm blessed with an amazing mother most of my friends have horrible matriarchs to varying degrees and they're better off finding love in people less volatile. Some have gone scorched earth, some keep their moms at arms length, and I'm very proud of them all.

I wouldn’t mind a single with a music video in August, but that’s it. I’ve told myself that I wouldn’t listen to any snippets this time, and I might not even listen to the lead single if there’s one, depending on when she releases it. I really want to experience a new Lana album from beginning to end without knowing anything.
