i will add that the length of AKA is about 47 minutes, and the lengths of BTD and UV minus bonus tracks are in the ~50 minute range. which is obviously longer than 45 minutes, BUT aka is one of my favorite albums of hers and it never feels TOO short to me despite being relatively short.
her longest albums sometimes feel SO long i can't sit through them and end up skipping pieces of it anyways (LFL)

so i have hope that it won't feel TOO short

it’s finally march! we’re so close to finally hearing the album, the fact that it’s so mysterious and we don’t really know much about it is so exciting   i’m really looking forward to hearing wild at heart, dark but just a game, & not all who wander are lost, i feel like they’re going to be amazing! also, hearing yosemite for the first time is going to be such a monumental moment  i have a feeling this album is going to be very special

Ugh I’m so excited for the 19th it’s all I can think about

All I can say is at 45 minutes this is BY FAR Lana’s shortest album. I just hope it doesn’t *feel* really short. I hope every song is there for a good reason and there isn’t any filler on an album of this length. It’s a normal album runtime for anyone else, but Lana’s records are always much longer.

the sims 3 is the best life simulator to exist period. the only flaw with the game is how it was programmed to work on extremely specific computer specs

it makes me sad how much the franchise has basically fallen; literally all the sims games before 4 were really fun to play. i feel like 4 actually really had potential but so many features were left out of it and the expansion packs were really minimal compared to those of the previous games. i'm really hoping they fix stuff up for the sims 5 but i'm not holding my breath for EA.

the issue really is that the DLC doesnt even add anything. like yes, even for TS2 and TS3 the dlc was expensive, but the content that they added had a LOT of detail to it and really changed things for your sims. the sims 4 base game is piss-poor but the dlc doesn't add much to the actual gameplay - it's mostly just superficial. compare island living to island paradise, for example. for ts3 you got mermaids, resorts, houseboats, new traits, scuba diving, fully-fleshed out world and lots more...for ts4, you got mermaids (just sims with a tail), scuba diving (as a rabbit hole) and...not much else. the dlc is fun for an hour or so but it just doesn't do ANYTHING apart from add a nice gloss to the limited gameplay already.

and even so, the approach to releasing DLC is pretty gross. like why was tiny living not part of university life? why are vampires, realm of magic, and paranormal stuff separate? fucking journey to batuu (and i say this as a mega star wars fan). the fact that they're bringing out "kits" now, too, fills me with zero hope for the franchise. don't even get me started on the sims themselves - they have no personality in sims 4, with the traits doing absolutely nothing to change the way they work. the emotion system is terrible, too.

honestly, sims 4 was doomed for the get-go. when they switched from online to offline last minute, they doomed the game. it was delivered half-baked and continues to be so. it's coming up to 7 years since it was released and there is still nothing worth of note

Nothing I hate more than when she drops a random fuck bomb or "bitch" for no reason. Cursing doesn't equate to being personal

I just wanted to point out that I think I Talk to Jesus and White Dress seem to be somewhat linked thematically!

“We had a deal and I fucked it up when I made the decision to become someone” (ITTJ)

    and

“Look how I do this, look how I’ve got this, it kind of makes me feel like maybe I was better off” (WD)

These lyrics in particular both see Lana implicitly longing for a life before “ma[king] the decision to become someone” and upon making that decision, realizing that “maybe [she] was better off.”

I Talk to Jesus seems to explore this sentiment through a slightly grainier and super-specific lens (with references to romantic relationships, biblical themes, and motifs from her earlier catalogue) and White Dress - while we haven’t heard it yet, so I’m solely making this comment based on what she’s said about it in interviews - seems to discuss it more holistically, and takes a more bird’s eye view of her life at the time?

I can’t wait to hear it!
