This is gonna sound negative but wow the way that Ben and Ed and everyone inflates her ego here is kind of like... its a lot.
 
Don't get me wrong, some of it is deserved, I genuinely think she's one of the greats of our time musically (lyrically SOMETIMES if she tries ala NFR) but they really prop her up to a high standard, and sometimes 'Lana Del Rey' is just as much high emotion high drama high reality as she is campy and simple and understated. (Take the lyrics on even the title track of COCC which are quite different in approach from NFR it seems)
 
Hearing about White Dress (brief spoilers about my thoughts about the song and some rambling below)
 

I hope she pulls a beach house and releases 2 very distinct but amazing albums within a single year  
 
the first would be lush and dreamy, her depression cherry, vast space and romance. Roses Bloom for You 
 
The second as the punchy, noisy, grainy antithesis. Dealer, long guitar breaks, scuzzy soundscapes that feel a lil seedy and irreverent, like a back alley, full of longing and desire. 
 
The two together would be like this mega lana epoch, some hegelian dynamic that ultimately births her into her new synthesis, ldr10, some crazy curveball that flings her into the stratosphere forever, some sound we could never ever expect... something totally absurdist and surreal... yeah I'm getting ahead of myself here 

I LOVE "The Archer" and the production is perfect af, but I think that's mainly because of Alexandra Savior's artistic vision.
Looking at what San Cohen produced before, it's not like that "The Archer" is "his" signature style of production. Alexandra's first album was produced by Alex Turner and people were giving all the credits to him. But at least since "The Archer" it's pretty obvious that it's Alexandra who's responsible for the soundscapes she's creating.
Talking about her, I think that a Lana-album produced b Zach Dawes would be a lot like Belladonna Of Sadness

I would love to hear a Lana record produced by the guy who produced Alexandra Savior’s second album, The Archer. The production is sooooo good and SO Lana. And just as a side note, if you’re like me and just can’t get enough of Ultraviolence n wish Lana would return to that sound/lyricism, Savior’s discography reaaaaally hits that spot 

I think a record produced by them would sound amazing, but I also don’t think she *needs* to go back to that sound. I would argue that a big part of the reason the record sounds the way it does is because she was in a different stage of life - a different mindset, a different person if you will. And the records she’s putting out later in life are in line with who she is now. IMHO she really served with COCC

Bruce Springsteen played Lana again on his SiriusXM channel the other day.
 
Bruce had more praise for Lana. The other day he said the following;
“That is ‘American,’ by the lovely Lana Del Rey. She’s, uh, name checking some guy from New Jersey in there. I’m not sure who, but … uh, she is from New York, and was raised in Lake Placid. Lake Placid, a fabulous little American town where I have spent many a lovely summer evening with my children and my family over the years. And Lana is simply one of the best songwriters in the country, as we speak. She just creates a world of her own and invites you in. So a big favorite of mine, the lovely Lana Del Rey.“ 
 
To have this kind of praise from a legend such as Springsteen is a huge honor as I have said before. Woody Guthrie inspired the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Dylan and Springsteen inspired Lana. Lana's folks roots can be experienced in all of her songs whether they feel folky or not. 
Regardless of what the critics say, Lana having the support of legends in this business such as Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez, Stevie Nicks etc matters a lot. Lets remember that much like Lana, when Bruce came on the scene he wasn't taken seriously at first. The critics didn't understand him and they wrote him off. Well, we all saw how that worked out. Lana has every reason to believe in herself and to always be reaching for the stars. She is this generation's greatest musical storyteller.
