Same with Anthony Fantano btw, it's ironic seeing his video on her statements when he's one of the people she's talking about.

with all of this I can only say that the caption she edited about her chilling is so aggressive in a way and it disturbed me even more. also, imagine being famous and posting a “controversial post” that gets you shit on and hated, then to post another statement of the sort and then go to your dms to talk to your fans only to find out that they’re questioning your mental state in such an ugly manner. lana had every right to lash out on them. from this mess I can take away that it is CRUCIAL that we take away the artist from the art. I was up till 5am last night worried for her and I even got nauseous thinking about everything so this was a good lesson to learn from. I’m still deathly worried for her and I’m sure you guys are too

Ultimately no one can take away from the impact she’s had on people’s lives, she’s touched and saved so many of us like no one else. She does represent for us gals and gays who are submissive or quiet yet stubborn and strong creatures. I have many favourite musicians but no one does it like Lana does for me.

If you go to YouTube and type Lana Del Rey and then filter by "Today" there are a ton of videos about this whole thing. What a soggy mess this has become.

I'm legitimately confused as to why some of you are taken aback by any of this behavior. She's literally always been a fiery person on social media against those that she doesn't like ("it's coming you little bitch" "GO F**K YOURSELF" etc). I would also be pissed off at fans that were 1)including me in their private* convos 2)saying things about my mental health whenever I'm clearing just voicing my opinion (just because someone is less reserved than usual doesn't mean something is "wrong.") This is just the Kayne comment except she worded things less eloquently. Clearly she's always had harsh commentary about how people perceive her (FMWUTTT, MPG, Sad Girl, etc.), except for once she said it without any irony or metaphors.
 
*private as in these accounts discuss things or post comments about her as if she'll never see them even though she clearly lurks their accounts. Even if the mental health comment was directed towards her, it still seems really odd to think that she has suddenly snapped or something.

I honestly don't blame her, after a decade of bullshit from mainstream not taking her seriously, and who knows what other shady shit. I'm not saying that her grammy loss was a tipping point, but I think it definitelyplayed part in reminding her that the industry hates her for a reason unknown. I'd be pressed af too! 

She never followed Hilary Duff, I remember because I checked when she randomly followed that Hilary fan account which she still follows.

I totally agree, although I never minded her brunette hair. The blonde is a fresh change though. She looks younger (although it isn't all the way blonde yet but it is def looking lighter).

So. as a recap. can we just get the facts straight? 

- she name dropped bc she liked those artists. she comments trying to better elaborate what she meant. 
- secondary post. She's got control of her story. if the women she mentioned don't wanna b associated its fine by her. 
- it seems like Ariana may have reached out. Ariana still follows her on insta. did she ever follow her back? 
- Lana and FKA never followed each other. 
- twitter running.
- someone deactivated their insta account bc they got put off w Lana. 
- there was a group chat, with still no cohesive/full screenshots of the conversation. 

points: 
- she's allowed to express herself. there are women that feel like they don't have a place in feminism because they might be overpowered by stronger women. 
- not racist, she actually loves the artists, and was probably looking for support. 
- she just wants to express herself and not feel like she's being turned into someone who's hysterical for wanting to do so. 
- there's a difference between knowing who Lana is on a personal basis, and being a fan. of flippin course, but just to reiterate. 

So. for those reading the thread regarding the previous happenings/ updates. is there anything else to add? if anyone wants to quote me, can we keep it more factually based rather than surmising? i think it'd be good to just try and get everyone who wants to get up to speed, up to speed w/o having to glean thru the 50ish pages if they didn't want to.

I don’t comment much on her « behaviour » because we don’t know her personally. Plus who she should be hers alone ; her art is what we can make ours, in a way. The two posts weren’t perfect but were far from being that controversial.
She did say herself she was ADHD or, at least, she is impulsive. So, to me, it’s what it’s about, when she comments some more. I get she is defensive (who wouldn’t be after the early backlash she received with BTD?), and I have made a couple of posts about the music industry that is very misogynistic and has a very limited view of what « female power / feminism » should be (it’s pretty much to want sex all the time to be liberated).
My only question, when I saw the first post, was: Did she get dragged down recently? Because after NFR, the critics really toned down and people are finally getting that she is a talented singer-songwriter.

Imo she should stay quiet for now. Get a d or something. She can even take a break from social media. We are all going crazy during quarantine....

I remember going to her pop up hoping to meet her, I had a good spot in line, didnt get to cause those “special insider” fans who have met her countless times and were given Lanas personal wardrobe were hogging even more of her time lol... if they hadnt been selfish i would have met her.. atleast i saw her ;(

We all know that a big part of her social media fanbase is unbearable. Obsessive, encroaching people who act up as supporting saints but will share every highly personal information, spread every leak they can just to get attention, feel like an insider and act like a special person within the fanbase. She should have never interacted closely with those people.
 
Do you remember when ultra-show-off Eclipse teased information for the upcoming LFL album because he needed his daily dose of attention? Instead of getting him sacked up for threatening to ruin her work she actually contacted him in a pretty polite way. That only made him feel more entitled.
 
So yeah, she has a point when she tells those people to fuck off. The fact they were not willing to show the full convo and only cherrypicked certain comments to cry about proves the point

Our serene queen is just feeling fed up with the way mainstream has blacklisted her. For whatever the reason. She didn't throw anybody under the bus. She merely drove the bus and ran over those who deserved it.

obviously being soft is something under attack nowadays and worth fighting for? and yes the artistic freedom of women could not be more precisely what feminist liberation is all about?? and in what way does a singular topic like domestic abuse that feminism critiques diminish the question of the agency of women? a society that dictates a woman‘s creative expression based on her gender is a society that dictates a woman‘s romantic expressions based on her gender and subjects her to abuse. different symptoms with different gravities but same origin, especially since lana‘s core argument was that she‘s using her art to process her past abusive relationships

Um, I don't like this mindset. I don't think it sets a good example for the forum to tell a user who just joined here that "hating Lana is our specialty" because that's absolutely not what this forum is about nor promotes. LanaBoards is intended to be a positive and healthy place for discussion. Of course, all sorts of opinions are welcome even if they lean on the negative or critical side, just as long as they don't cross any sort of line. With that being said, I really don't like to see users encouraging hate. Blatant hate is absolutely not tolerated. There's a fine but very clear line between constructive criticism and blatant hate, and LanaBoards does not at all promote the latter. I still feel weird about speaking publicly during this time, but I just couldn't ignore this message.

It's about damn time. Maybe she can block him from coming to every single show of hers. Did he say something about her? She's still following other fans and fanpages. He must have said something and she saw it.

Wow this is messed up in every aspect. I don't know who to believe but I feel like both the two sides are quite wrong. Yes her fans are crazy and like yes why the fuck they can't be normal for once. Just leave her alone. But she's the bigger person here. I'm not saying she should be the bigger person, I'm saying she is the bigger person. She is right in this but she should've been a bit more chill. I hope she takes her time this time cause I'm tired of this whole drama and I just want it to stop.

I'm not a Halsey fan HOWEVER I LOVED when she put her fans in their place that one time they were cursing her out on social media for rushing in to do press instead of taking selfies with fans. These fans were saying the most awful things on Halsey and she addressed them.

I have always hated all those lovey kissy photos Lana takes with fans. Walking off stage to go down and sign records, take selfies and etc when she should be on stage performing. This is why you got people like Win and Dat1guitarguy thinking that Lana is their BFF and they are special and are in a special bond with her. Both men are obsessively in love with Lana. That's why Sean said what he said to Dat1guitarguy because Dat1guitarguy was stalking Lana from town to town including the Grammy party. I know Sean's a controversial guy, but I liked when he told Dat1guitarguy off. 
 
Anyway, people called Halsey insane when she told fans to chill out in the video. She was right to do so. I'm glad Lana told those insane kiddies in the "Coney Island Kiddies special club" to go fuck themselves. They aren't leaking the whole conversation because they looked insane. I heard that one of the "special fans" who deleted their own account after Lana cursed them out, wrote that "Lana needed to get laid" and that's why "she's going "crazy after Sean dumped her"....
 
I don't know if that's true but that's what the tea is spilling on instagram by some people. I would like for one of them to screen shot the whole thing and post it because something happened. Lana is not going to just curse fans out for no reason. There's a reason they only leaked the parts where Lana cursed them out and not what they said. 

I just got registered cause I didnt know this forum existed. I almost read every single page of this thread. And some of you spend more time talking sh*t about Lana than haters themselves lol. Are you even fans? If you think shes ignorant, racist, whatever; why do you even bother following her?! Maybe I'm getting to old for all of this but I really can't see why it's such a big deal? Lana's obviously fuming and posted some strange text again, and she unfollowed some fans and Ariane G., and AG unfollowed her... oh wow... and now...? What's going to happen? Is doomsday dawning upon on us? Will the apocalypse kill us all? (Well, of course it will, but probably not now, not because of Lana I don't know – Lana's always been weird and some kind of "problematic" person, and that's why she's doing and saying unpredictable (and often debatable) things. But that's also why she's making awesome art for 15 years now, I guess. This IG/Twitter uproar will fizzle out and life will go on (at least mine will. I hope
