Honeymoon deserved the same acclaim as NFR — but I get it, not everyone that is paid to “critique” has the insight to understand complex bodies of work. 

I don't know if it's popular or unpopular, but each album had the right music at the right time. I like every song and every album as they are.

I love what you say about it being detached, I think around 4 years ago I was talking back-and-forth with another member in the Honeymoon thread about that exact thing, how it kind of reads as a metaphysical self-portrait from which Lana detaches herself and distinguishes between herself pre-fame and post-fame. It’s got so many layers, I love it — I keep unravelling them even 6 years down the line 

Honeymoon is a record that she could release at any point in her life and it would still read as one that represents where she’s currently at in relation to the natural process of aging and acquiring wisdom. That record is really something else — it exists in its own space independent of time and maturity. I can’t believe it’s real, and I can’t believe it was critiqued so unfairly for the longest time. It’s absolutely untouchable and I think one that best represents how deep and soulful Lana is. The lyrics, melodies, and production all do so much more than create music — it all-around transcends any constructs of what defines ‘’music” or “storytelling”. It’s just her. 

i'm dying at people still being shocked by her red carpet outfit like have you guys even been paying attention to her fashion sense over the years. it could and realistically should have been so much worse. no one ever loved lana for her fashion except maybe for like 10 mins in 2011-2012 where she was being styled insanely specifically. she's always been eclectic and wild which is why i was so shocked she pulled out a dress and heeled boots for this and was hyping her up sm, bc lana fashion standard is just not the same expectation level as other mainstream celebs lol. ppl need to calmm down

after seeing her and olivia interact at the variety awards i kinda really want them to collab now 
i think it would make for a fun and interesting song (one that would be better than don’t call me angel ) 
and i really would wanna see what direction they’d take as two different artists from two different decades of music since theyre headliners for said decade of music

Beautiful is one of my fave piano ballads just because of the raindrop piano in it. It's so so beautiful, it gives me goosebumps. Also I really love & can relate to the message of the song  
Beautiful might have a simple structure & it's quite short but to me it's stunningly beautiful  
 

I'm not sure how unpopular this is, but vocally, Blue Banisters is her best album. I'd say that Honeymoon and AKA are also up there in terms of vocal performance

and an INCREDIBLE one!  we needed a quick ass shake to get settled in before the rest of the album

I think Dance Till We Die is such a good song

Oh my mistake it just says Zach on Spotify, still don’t think it sounds ‘’minimalistic’ compared to the other Jack songs though

no it's true. ppl hate bc they think it's romanticizing the novel/character but tbh i think the song is more complicated than that and could be saying the opposite. like singing from the perspective of "lolita" to speak to the feeling of being attached to an unhealthy relationship. in any case, it literally BANGS like one of her best on par w florida kilos. don't even get me started on the demos

Truee, I remember saving that song for later because of good comments and always skipping it or being like "Mehh" when listening to it. 

One of the most uninspired songs she's ever come with, imo. Sounds as if somebody forced her to write and record something that sounded rockish at first hour in the morning when she wasn't still fully awake.

this forum gives way too much credit to Sirens. like, yeah it’s not bad at all but you are actually a straight up liar if you think it’s better than any of the studio albums she’s released since then 

California is only liked by people because of who produced it. It really is nothing that special, and is my clear least favorite from Norman Fucking Rockwell. If no one had any clue about the production credits, I feel like many more people would feel the same way due to the Jack hate blinders

I think it would have been perfect for COCC had we not already heard it as a standalone single. She never got enough hype
