FUCK that would work SO well  such sweet optimism in the middle of the album 

this album feels like such a natural progression in lanas sound… i was scared she was going to continue with country/folk inspired music but it seems the album returns to her rich/layered production towards the end of it. so maybe we can see the next album being a guitar centred record 

If You Lie Down With Me is for some reason giving me an upgraded version of LMLYLAW energy. It seems somewhat jazzy to me in the same way that Text Book is at the beginning (in the verses). And then the vocals in my head sort of sound like the L.A, Who Am I? snippet

Is it just me, or does it feel like she's absolutely MASTERED the art of build up in a song. Like first Wildflower and now this. Wildflower is Lanas equivalent of Rocket Man. It's reaching out into the void, trying to hold it together for yourself and for those you love. The organ (?) In the 2nd verse feels like climbing a staircase, reaching the place you've been trying to get to all your life. And Arcadia feels like youre at the top of said staircase and now you're basking in the sun. UGH. Im going to write a 5 page essay when this album drops.
