LFL should have started with '13 Beaches.' 'Love' was a total boner move in terms of positioning.

White Dress is one of Lana's most gorgeous videos. It is pure art, period. It is a delicate and stripped back song. Having some huge production music video would defeat the purpose, she's literally singing about her life before she had wealth and fame and a big production budget. The video is meditative and nostalgic just like the song is.

COCC MV on the other hand is corny. I love the song, but the video is just too camp. It's not a goofy pop song, so I don't know why they gave it a goofy video. Just the way they did the costuming, props, set design, cheap looking Instagram filters and cheesy special effects and editing. It all just feels very staged and childish. It just feels very 2010 pop music video, like Lana's attempt at a Katy Perry video. It's like they were going for a big production but on a tight budget, it didn't work out.

I do want one or more videos this era, but its not really essential to me. I like the videos she did in NFR era like FIILY, The Greatest and Doin Time. These videos have nice cinematography and look expensive but without being over the top. They just have a nice polished look that fit the moods of their songs. I would also be fine with some home made videos too, those ones are cute and fit her more stripped back and acoustic songs.

I really agree at the "White Dress" M/V segment - for me, this video is one of the most beautiful & aesthetic pleasing that i've seen from her.
The only thing that bugs me is (which is also a shame) that her arm was accidently broken while filming this MV. I know she wanted to rollerblade the f out of these beautiful sceneries in tne MV by HERSELF. Imagine if the accident didnt happen, this MV really did have a potential to be even more than what it is now. But regardless, I love the color palette of the visual (soft, pastel violet sky) & i love every second whenever the sunset is on screen, the stunt performer did what she had to do (in fact, this MV even inspired me to go buy a pair of rollerblades & practice this shit). And I think y'all didnt appreciate the MV for "White Dress" enough because the visual, the sceneries they filmed is literally in sync with how the song actually sounds - like, they literally o-hand-in-hand so well.

I disagree on what u said about COCC mv tho

Spill. I know you guys love cocc mv but it doesn’t feel like lana to me, i can live without a professional music video for the next eras. It’s all good if she does something in the vein of nfr again visually.

Her daily streams are crazy. With all the unexpected album tracks randomly going viral every week, I'd rather her take time and keep polishing the album for better.

so today at work (i work at a coffee shop) and in West Hollywood, & i was wearing my NFR album tshirt, and this regular customer was like “oh i love your tshirt, i just saw her at pavilions (grocery) a few days ago”
& i was shook & had to know the details …
anyways he told her he loved Norman & she responded “oh thank you , im working on some new music and it’s crazy” …
and he told her how her music and gagas helped him come out the closet and she also mentioned how her current man she’s dating is fluid sexually which i thought was super cool. anyways just thought i’d share she described it to him as “crazy” i asked if he pried more but he said he was nervous af! ldr9 crazy era ?

If we ignore Ben's comments the timeline of this album makes so much sense:
    - She told us she had some songs she loved in the BB release livestream (October)
    - She allegedly said the next album is even better in December
    - In May we got some details about an album that's in the works. With how she talked about it it seemed that she had a clear concept and quite a lot of songs already but it was still untitled (something weird for Lana) so it was probably not fully finished. Maybe she recorded a lot of stuff and she wasn't sure what was going to make it into the record.
It would make sense for it to come out sometime early next year if we account for the finishing touches + vinyl production.
Insider silence also makes sense considering she probably hasn't done any official label stuff yet.

And now for my delulu theory which I'm always going to include

sources are stating that ldr9 will be a double album alongside american standards & classics, ldr9 will have a luxurious & electrifying synth/rock sound, while as&c will be filled to the brim with lana’s covers of many popular & iconic songs from past decades, she will be channeling marilyn monroe & janis joplin

yeah it’s a business but at the end of the day, lana is not struggling. she’s secured her place both financially and in the industry. we don’t NEEEEED her music, she puts it out because she wants to. just because we’ve liked her music up until this point doesn’t mean she has to cater to our every want and continue to put out only the music the majority will like. she is completely free to do whatever the hell she wants, and if that means losing fans, i’m sure she could not possibly care less 😭

yeah we’re the reason she has a career, but it’s because we WILLINGLY give her streams, buy her records, etc. it’s not like we’re being forced lol. if you don’t enjoy her future music releases, that doesn’t diminish or lessen the previous music she’s put out that you DO like. she’s not just some music making machine that works purely for the enjoyment of the public.

Just noted about this in the Instagram Updates thread, but she added a link to a private YouTube video in her Instagram bio. I wonder if it's related to the new album, perhaps a music video or album trailer? x

Or Tori Amos, who has a lot of angry piano ballads, usually not directed at men or specific men, but at being "considered too old to make pop music," the GOP and conservatives, "the patriarchy," the historical mistreatment of Native Americans, and the United Methodist Church (that was).
