The outro is so heavenly. I’m not super familiar with musical production, but it almost sounds like they’re using a really grainy mellotron
 
To use so few instruments, the song has so much atmosphere. Is This Happiness has a similar quality I can’t quite pinpoint

whether you like it or not, i really think bartender is one of her most (if not the most) unique released songs. she really goes full on singer/songwriter here. even though she does basically the same with HIADT, i feel like bartender is the first happier piano ballad she's made lol i remember hearing the snippet and literally not knowing where the song could go next 

I doubt that there was much thought put into that one, it just flew smoothly that way and was  not intentionally crafted to leave anyone out.

There are many factors that play into role behind closed doors.... who knows what’s going on in Lana’s PERSONAL life or what her MANAGEMENT Is telling her... at the end of the day quality art is quality art...life isn’t easy, it’s one thing to be at work investing time and energy in various projects but it’s another thing to release them. Contracts and shit really put the release process at a halt sometimes... all because of the $$$ the only thing that matters in this hell driven industry ... at least we know whether through visuals, sound or words Lana’s heart will always be present in her work.. thus worth the wait.

LANA DEL REY AUTOMATIC SONG RANKER
Hi everyone! Awhile ago, there was an automatic song sorter on the infamous Moy's tumblr, but since his tumblr was removed, there hasn't been another that was frequently updated. So, I made my own.
I made three editions: one with just her released content, one with her unreleased content, and a complete version that includes both released & unreleased as well as special live performances, collaborations, covers, etc.
In case you don't know how it works, there will be "battles" where you are shown two songs and select which one you like the best.
After all of the battles are completed, the ranker will show you a list of the songs in order from what appears to be your favourites to your least favourites. It's pretty accurate!
Pro tip - although there are "no opinion" and "I like both" options, I recommend to not use these at all to have the most accurate results.

this has nothing to do with this album but since it’s not coming I guess that’s ok. The other woman is her best album cover we been knew. That’s all I wanna say.

Is it plausible that she releases COCC as a double disc ? the second being ASAC of course. 
 
 
I LOOOOOVE The Other Woman !!! Her best cover IMO...

The only reason I’m not upset is because COCC song video and pre order are coming in 2.5 weeks. She probably thought COCC wouldn’t come till summer and that’s why the covers album. Now that we’ll get COCC probably Feb-March covers album will probably come after. I’m sure that’s why she announced it when she did. So, I guess now I’m hoping for COCC Feb-March, then in the rest of 2021/early early 2022 covers album and Iron Gates, and finally late summer/fall 2022 next studio album. If this happens we truly won girls and gays!!! ? 

Dude, I thought the exact same thing when I heard that part of the song! Taylor’s cited Lana as her favorite female lyricist, so this it’s definitely possible that she drew inspiration from her!

Did anyone get Lana vibes in the chorus of Tolerate It?
 
The line, “I wait by the door like I’m just a kid/Use my best colors for your portrait,” was so reminiscent of the childlike adoration and attention to sensory detail Lana includes in her tracks.
 
Even the way she breathily scoops up her pitch on the words “kid” and “portrait” reminded me of Lana as well. This could just be me, though lol

I think a dark monologue (similar to her audible performance of Bare Feet on Linoleum) spoken hollowly over the bright, lux-heavy imagery shown in the teaser would be such a fucking cool juxtaposition. 
 
I’ve been dying for something with the same raw & intimate storytelling of the Ride monologue, and I think her recent poetry exploration would make this a perfect opportunity to include something like this
